There's still time to discover new ways of seeing shape, light and shadow with the immersive art experience "Mosaic of Light" by HYBYCOZO at Discovery Green! This Downtown Houston installation incorporates the replies the artist received to the question, "What shapes evoke Houston?"
Through February 27, stop by at night to see how these sculptures project light, shapes and shadows on the sidewalks and beyond, or visit during the day to see them shine as glittering, gold jewels. What Houston-esque shapes you can spot?

Who needs a dose of some good news?
Teams of design/construction pros and the students they mentor spent all day Saturday creating amazing sculptures out of canned goods for Canstruction 2021. These are photos of the 11 phenomenal creations, which add up to more than 48,000 cans. The best part? All of those cans will be donated to the Houston Food Bank!
I was one of the judges who had the tough job of picking the top designs in several categories: Best Meal, Best Original Design, Best Use of Labels, Most Cans and Best Structural Ingenuity. We also decided to throw in an honorable mention as well! I don't want to tell you who won what because YOU have a chance to pick the Public Favorite through Nov. 14.
By Monday, you should be able to visit Canstruction Houston Inc. to see all the official photos and vote which one you think is best with a hit of the 'Like' button! If you want to see them in person, you can do that too at Understory!

HEALTHY BOWLS & SALADS AT THIS FOOD HALL IN HOUSTON’S UNDERGROUND TUNNELS 🥗 Summer is almost officially here (though it feels like it’s already here 😅), and you know what that means... . Introducing Farro!
Farro is located at Understory, which is a food hall located in the downtown tunnels. They have these delicious power bowls that you can choose from or you can build your own from a selection of wholesome and healthy ingredients, then top off with one of their protein options (chicken, salmon, plant-based nuggets, or egg). My favorites are the Baja, Keto, and Vegan 🌱, but you really can’t go wrong, especially after laying on their house-made seasonings/dressings.
They’re currently open during the week around lunch time, so it’s perfect to either grab a quick lunch, or if you can’t step away from work, you can always order for delivery! 🚗
