My halftime in a hurry meal! I was starving but couldn't unglue my eyes from watching my Houston RocketsπŸš€ Soon as my boys went in to half time zoodles and meatballs seemed perfect and fast! This is AMAZING! I love the different ranch flavor packets. It's a way to add flavor to your food w/o all the extra calories! πŸ˜„ I took extra lean 99:1 ground turkey made them into patties, sprinkled on a little fiesta ranch and baked it in the oven! Fast, easy, and DELICIOUS!!! πŸ™Œ It was like a little fiesta in my mouth!πŸ’ƒ Try it out!

Late night recovery meal after fishing up legs. 😧 One thing I do not condone is going to bed hungry! βœ‹πŸš« #1 Because I cannot go to sleep hungry (some of my diva ways, I'm not myself when I'm hungry!) #2 Your body needs proper nutrients to rebuild your muscles while you're sleep that you've broken down during your workout #3 Skipping meals is making my body work against me. Missing a meal tells your body to store fat. πŸ‘Ž So if you're reading this right now and you're hungry, get up! Make a green veggie and a protein shake or a small piece of lean meat! NO CARBS/FRUIT!!! That turns into sugar and that stores as fat while you sleep. And we dont want to do that! 😏 !

everyone πŸ‘‹ How did go for you guys yesterday!? Look at this wonderful marinade I ran across this week. This is an but a for me! In my grandmother's later years she had to change her diet. This was one of the marinades she would use to give her food the flavor she needed but with out all the sodium and sugars most marinades are packed with! I used it on my and for the week. Don't be discouraged if you don't go from a size 13 to a 5 over night or in 2 months. That's not healthy! It's normal to only lose 1-2 lbs a week. Yes it may take a while for you to reach your goal. But you have a better chance of keeping that weight off if you lose it at a healthy rate Keep working the process and be patient with your body.

Last night's meal prep! After a month of traveling back and forward what seemed like EVERYWHERE...I finally got some time to plan my meals for the week. Cooking puts me in a zone and is a stress reliever for me. ESPECIALLY grilling! Omg I love it, and I love the way it makes your food taste too. So last night while getting the pit ready I threw my sweet potatoes in the oven, had my rice cooking, and the water boiling for my green beans. Every thing was done about the same time. Talk about a good night! But it wore me out after a long day at the gym. Overall it was a great day and I'm set for the week. How did your meal prep go this weekend? What's your safety sauce? Here are a few of mine! Most mustards and salsas are packed with flavor without the extra calories and additives other condiments contain. *SIGH* Just do these bad things in moderation! I'm humans and a human that loves carbs. On the weekends my advice to myself and others is: Stick to healthy eating habits. Plan ONE cheat meal and try not to over do it. Make time for 20 to 30 mins of fun cardio after your cheat meal! Don't be so hard on yourself, enjoy your fitness journey! Every now and then I will have what I call a "Cook Party". There's no planning involved. This is just when the cooking spirit takes over, and I grab everything uncooked out the fridge and make something of it. This go round one of my creations was an imitation of Dr. Fuhrman's Eggplant Cannelloni from his book "Eat to Live". He has this recipe and several other vegetarian meals his book. Check out his YouTube video as he instructs you step by step how to it. Although I didn't have all the ingredients the recipe called for it was excellent!

Some mornings you just need your β˜• before you're able to take on the What do you put in your coffee? I use 8 oz of unsweetened vanilla almond milk (30 cals), a tsp of instant coffee, and 1-2 packets of Monk Fruit sweetener. My cup of joe only has 30 calories total It was definitely an adjustment when I went from my 3-4 french vanilla creamers, 1-2 equal packets, and the days I had a sweet tooth I'd add 2 packets of sugar. Give the almond milk version a try. If you can go with out the sugar the regular vanilla almond milk (60 cals per cup) is way better than 5 creamers and 5 packs of sugar you might want add! A few pics from yesterday! To make a little less stressful, I placed the fish, broccoli, and sweet potatoes in the oven all at the same time. The broccoli and fish are done in about 10-12 minutes. My sweet potatoes take about 30-40 mins to cook. I threw the stuffed chicken breast (stuffed w/ spinach, tomatoes, and goat cheese) in after taking the fish and broccoli out. Total prep/cook time 1 hr 15 mins. When I have meals in the oven, I set timers so I can do other task while my food is cooking! Phix Tip: Did you know cooking sweet potatoes just right brings out their natural sugars? That's right you won't have to add sugar! I fool my family all the time mid-meal when I finally tell them there's no sugar on the sweet potatoes today. By that time they won't get up to grab the sugar! *giggles* Add a little coconut oil and cinnamon to them and bake at 375 degrees until tender! #

If you can't shake your morning craving for starbucks try their Skinny Vanilla Latte (tall). I have come to love this drink, its only 100 cals (fat 0g, carbs 14g) in comparison to their 280 calorie (fat 11g carbs 64g) mocha frappe that I was addicted to a few years ago. They have a whole low calorie menu, check it out! Take baby steps if you struggle going cold turkey. Happy Monday everyone!!!!

To be as lean as possible your diet is very important. To increase my metabolism I eat every 2-3 hours! Since I've been up for a while here's a picture of my 3rd meal. 4oz of chicken breast, 1/2 cup sauteed green beans, 1/4 cup of brown rice and 2 tbsp of salsa for a little extra kick. Eating lean proteins, vegetables, complex carbs, and healthy fats is the only way I've been able to successfully lose weight and keep it off.
