Shadow Creek Ranch is excited to announce the 2020 Swimming Pool Season opening day is on schedule for Saturday, May 23rd!

The health and safety of our residents is our top priority. As such, and in compliance with Texas State regulations, we are reducing the occupancy of our pools to no higher than 25%. This will permit our residents to be better able to practice social distancing. As the state relaxes these requirements, we will plan to follow suit. Note that while Barefoot, our pool management company, is responsible for maintaining the 25%, but responsible social distancing is the responsibility of our residents and will not be policed by the lifeguards. Clear, to keep our community amenities open and operating in a safe manner, it is critical that everyone follows the recommendations of the CDC and practices responsible social distancing.

Each pool will be open in two (2) hour blocks then close for thirty (30) minutes. During that time, Bearfoot will clean the area. Prior to the thirty (30) minute closure period all members must exit the pool facility area. Adjustments to this program may be made as we see it progress.

Please note:
Members must have a pool card to enter the pool facility. NO EXCEPTIONS. Contact the HOA if you do not have a pool card.
Four residents may enter, per card
Guest passes are not available for purchase at this time
There should be no gatherings except by members of the same household.
Table and chair availability will be limited and spaced throughout the pool facility area accordingly.
Parent/guardians are responsible for the social distancing of their own child/children
The Biscayne Bay Recreation Center Splash Pad will remain closed until further notice
Private pool rentals are not available

Preventative actions to help stop the spread of COVID19:
If you are sick, stay home and do not use the community’s amenities. Please be mindful of public health recommendations for the length of time in which you should self-quarantine should you display any symptoms associated with COVID-19.
Maintaining a distance of at least six feet from others (social distancing) and use face coverings as recommended by the CDC. Be considerate of others by wiping down table and chairs after use
Avoid close contact with individuals who are sick
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
Wash your hands often and use hand sanitizer (60%-95% alcohol content) if soap and water are not available
Follow guidelines from the CDC on coughing and sneezing etiquette and clean hands

As Shadow Creek Ranch residents ourselves, your HOA board members are delighted to be able to open the pools during this difficult time. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this situation.

An Update from Shadow Creek Ranch Regarding COVID-19 – Our Unyielding Commitment to Member Services

April 7, 2020

The Shadow Creek Ranch Maintenance Association and Village Associations are dedicated to our neighbors and is here for you during this time of uncertainty. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by the outbreak.

In light of the current coronavirus outbreak, the HOA has been conducting business virtually to help ensure the safety of the community we serve each day. The health and safety of our residents, employees, and partners are our top priority and focus. The board is taking preventative actions to address the spread of COVID-19 in and around the common areas by taking appropriate measures to limit contact to the extent possible.

As a reminder, due to the executive order executed by Gov. Greg Abbot and the CDC to limit social gatherings to 10 people or less, the tennis, sand volleyball, swimming pools and basketball courts will remain closed until further notice. To deter social activity, the nets and goals have been removed from all the recreation center courts. Trespassers will be prosecuted; members are urged to report unlawful or suspicious activity to the Pearland Police Department by calling the non-emergency number, 281- 997-4100.

The ‘Swim at Your Own Risk’ pre-season at the Emerald Bay Lap Pool has been cancelled. The association will continue pursuing deed restriction violations related to unapproved improvements, trash accumulation, and infractions related to the common areas, however, restrictions that are vendor-related, may receive concessions as vendors may also be social distancing and unable to deliver on their typical suite of services during this time.

ARC modification applications can still be submitted for review to the HOA office by sending the completed application along with the supporting documentation required by email to [email protected] or by mail to 12234 Shadow Creek Parkway Suite 3112, Pearland, TX 77584, Attention: SCR ARC Department. The ARC application process can take up to thirty (30) days from the time that all the required documentation has been submitted. All payments must be made during the time of application by either using ClickPay online, regular U.S. postal mail, or by submitting a photo copy of a signed personal check (front and back) via email to the HOA office. Once an ARC application has been approved, the work must be completed by the date specified (by the applicant) on the application, failure to complete the work during the allotted time will require a new application and fees.

The SCR HOA Management Office is closed to all walk-ins, to contact someone from the HOA staff please email [email protected] or call 713.436.4563. The latest information available can be found online by visiting www.shadowcreekranchhoa.com

Our thoughts remain with you and your families during this unprecedented time. Stay well, and we look forward to opening our doors again soon.

City of Pearland Issues Stay At Home Order
Post Date:03/25/2020 6:04 pm
As the current COVID-19 pandemic evolves, City of Pearland officials continue to coordinate with County Health officials to put measures in place that will aid in protecting Pearland residents and help to limit the spread of COVID-19. With that objective in mind, today Mayor Tom Reid signed two new orders, named TR 3 and TR 4 that will go into effect tomorrow, Thursday, March 26th 2020 at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. respectively and remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 3rd, unless otherwise extended.

Order (TR 3), which goes into effect at 8 a.m. on March 26th, is an order regarding UDC regulations that will make it easier for local businesses to advertise and carry out to-go orders throughout the City of Pearland.

Order (TR 4), which goes into effect at 6 p.m. on March 26th, is a stay safe at home order that limits activities within the Pearland community to those that are essential. Under this order residents should only leave home to:

Visit a doctor, dentist, or other healthcare provider
Go to a grocery store, pick up food from a restaurant, or pick up supplies to care for a pet
Go to work at an essential business
Go to a home improvement store to buy items essential for well-being at home
Engage in outdoor activities (walk, run, ride a bike)
Please continue social distancing in this scenario
Care for family members, pets, or others in another household
There are other common-sense requirements that allow for important and unavoidable movements to maintain life, security, and safety. Residents and businesses are urged, just as they have followed with the restrictions on restaurants, to voluntarily exercise good judgment and sound practices for good community public health.

These orders echo similar orders submitted by local health authority edicts in surrounding counties and are designed to aid in slowing the spread of COVID-19 in the Pearland community, so we urge residents to take this seriously and follow the guidance of local authorities. Continuing local voluntary adherence does not add strain to public safety resources and protects other residents.

Impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on
Shadow Creek Ranch

As the outbreak of COVID-19 has been developing worldwide, the Shadow Creek Ranch Maintenance Association (SCRMA) and Village Homeowners Association Board of Directors has been closely monitoring daily recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO), along with local health authorities, and, when appropriate, public health authorities in other nations, for the latest updates.

After carefully weighing the emerging facts as well as our duties to the community, our members, and other meeting attendees we as board directors serve, the HOA has made the difficult, but necessary decision to close the Shadow Creek Ranch HOA office and cancel all Village Association monthly Board of Director Meetings, including the Village of Emerald Bay Member’s Annual Meeting.
