I have a huge favor to ask!!!

For several years I have collected gift cards around Thanksgiving to help feed children that would not normally get any type of Thanksgiving meal. Most of these kids are on the free lunches with the schools and that is pretty much all they get. Several of you have helped in the past and I’m so thankful!!

Because of my life chaos I did not do it last year and I had not necessarily planned on doing it this year however, a couple of the organizations that I have donated to reached out to me today. They asked if there was any way that I could help again this year. Everyone knows life is really hard right now. Finances for everyone are just not what they used to be so I’m asking you if you are able please… the next time that you are at the grocery store H-E-B, Kroger, Walmart or anywhere you can buy groceries could you please grab a $5 or $10 gift card???

I will be happy to come to you to collect them! Even if we can get just a few some amazing kids will be able to have a meal the week they don’t have school!

One of our founders asked us what is your “why” for those of you that are new here is what I said! Thank you for my socks! ❤️

We lost everything in Hurricane Harvey. I remember thinking as I looked around and saw all these random strangers (several friends too!) carrying my stuff outside to dump in a pile and knocking down walls and cabinets, how am I going to thank people I don’t know… we would not have been able to handle it all on our own. I walked around in a haze while strangers gave my kids food and water. They gave us clothes. Socks… I didn’t even have socks… How would I ever pay the kindness forward??

One Hope allows me to do just that! I have met so many amazing people, amazing charities I would have never heard of if it weren’t for One Hope.
