Stopped by Fuzzy’s Pizza on S. Mason Rd. to try their famous deep dish pizza pie — made a lot like a real Chicago-style. Two slices will tap out any grown man, and you can order a 12” or 16”.
While I was there, I overheard the manager saying TikTok brought a huge rush of customers who didn’t realize these pizzas take 30–40 minutes to bake. A lot of folks were getting impatient and even rude, so do yourself a favor: call ahead and place your order to avoid the wait.
They only allow up to 4 toppings, so keep that in mind. And if you’ve never had Chicago-style before, it’s a whole different experience from a New York slice or your usual hand-tossed pizza. Think more like a pie than a pizza.
Overall, the pizza was good — not as good as what I’ve had in Chicago (naturally), but still solid. I’d give it an 8/10. Definitely worth trying, just go in with an open mind and ignore the hype.
