This May, every purchase contributed to cancer research at Texas Children’s Hospital (). Thank you — genuinely — to everyone who ordered, shared, and showed up this month. 
 
We want to close out May with someone very close to our hearts. 
 
Gul Altinkopru has been a friend of our family for as long as we can remember. At 39, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is 63 today. In this video, she shares her story — the diagnosis, the treatment, the moments that carried her through — and her words of advice for anyone walking that road right now. 
 
Thank you to everyone who supported BON this May — and thank you to Gul for the gift of her story. This one is for every family that knows what this feels like. 🧡

By now you know lemons are one of our favorite ingredients. The science is a big part of why. 
 
The vitamin C, flavonoids, and d-limonene lemons contain have been studied for their role in reducing inflammation, supporting immune function, and protecting cells — including in cancer research, where citrus compounds continue to be an active area of study. 
 
This May, as we partner with Texas Children’s Hospital () and donate 15% of every sale to cancer research, we wanted to shine a light on the ingredients that have always been part of the conversation around health and prevention. Lemons are one of them. 
 
They are also, not coincidentally, the star of our Tarte au Citron Pop — our take on the French patisserie classic, built entirely from whole ingredients. Pure lemon powder, lemon extract, and that particular brightness that no artificial flavor has ever quite managed to replicate.
