Show listings that I will be attending can be viewed in the show calendar on the main page. Our rabbitry has a strict no visitor policy for health and safety reasons. No rabbits may be picked up or delivered directly to our rabbitry at any time. Pet quality rabbits
Our rabbits are known for their friendly temperament. Especially the pet quality rabbits. Pet quality rabbits are often rabbits that for whatever reason cannot be shown competitively, but have the correct temperament to be rehomed into a pet environment. Rabbits are not beginner pets. They take a lot of knowledge and care, because of this they are not suitable for young children as a pet. The rabbit's body structure is very fragile and a rabbit can easily be startled by loud noises or sudden movement. They cannot be wrestled with like a dog or cat, or roughly handled for whatever reason. Take this into consideration when looking for any pet rabbit. The pet rabbits sold at Brie's Bunny Barn will not be sold with a pedigree. Some pet rabbits may contain a tattoo ear number this shows that the rabbit is show quality. Show quality rabbits that will be sold as pets will have a secondary tattoo displaying their pet status. Show & Brood quality rabbits
Show and Brood Quality Rabbits will always come with a pedigree. Pricing of Show and Brood Quality Rabbits will depend on age, winnings, lines, show/brood potential, temperament, and other various factors. A rabbit is labeled as a show-quality rabbit because it has no known disqualifications. Show Quality Rabbits are not guaranteed to win shows. On rare occasions, brood quality rabbits may be unable to show competitively due to fur markings or flesh wounds such as an injury. If a rabbit is labeled as brood quality the disqualification does not affect their offspring. Brood Quality Rabbits are not guaranteed to produce desirable kits.

I realize I haven’t been sharing much about my rabbit journey lately. Over the past few years, I’ve found myself becoming more private than I intended, so updates like this tend to come few and far between.

As the FFA and 4-H rabbit season starts picking up in schools, I’ve been receiving a steady stream of calls, emails, and messages asking about rabbit availability. I do my best to respond to everyone, but I know I may miss a message here and there. That’s why I wanted to take a moment to share this update.

This year, I’ve made the decision to significantly reduce my rabbit numbers in order to focus on improving the Dutch and Rex breeds. Because of that, I will not have any rabbits available for the remainder of 2025 and likely not for some time after. Currently both my Dutch and Rex numbers are in the single digits. One of my ongoing goals is to help set our youth up for success, and right now I don’t feel I can offer animals that meet the standard I want to provide.

I’ll be sure to share another update here if and when I reach a point where there are live rabbits up for discussion.

Here is a compilation of some little bunny licks for tax.

⚠️Please read⚠️

A picture of the lovebirds Legend and Latelie for attention, but there's been something that needs to be said about breeding rabbits and I haven't seen anyone else post it so I will.

If you can't cull, then DONT BREED!!

I don't necessarily mean just butchering and processing, if you don't want to do that yourself there are other people (like me) that can do that for you.

I mean mercy culls. When you have a sick, injured, or otherwise dying rabbit, and don't want to end its suffering. I've seen a lot of that recently in some rabbit groups I'm in, primarily ones for new owners/breeders. I saw a video of a baby probably 3-4 weeks old flopping around and screaming, everyone in the comments was telling them to cull it, its too far gone to save, and the poster (anonymous of course😒) reply to one of the comments and said "girl........I'm not ending its life your cold, it's not torture, I keep them comfortable untill they pass. They always pass within an hour."

Explain how it's not torture to keep a failing and screaming baby alive to suffer a slow death?? When you can end its suffering in a second. Also the poster said "they" ?? How many times has this person left babies to die slowly??

I understand that some people might not no how to cull, so tomorrow I'll post 3 videos showing(with a stuffed animal) how I cull. 3 different methods for different sizes and life stages of rabbits. I'll create a album for it so it will be easier to find if anyone needs it.

In the meantime share this post, im sick of seeing rabbits suffer because people don't know what they are getting into.

About cheating & What we can do…
please share & send emails to Cindi Hinton at [email protected]

We should not have to give judges nail polish remover pads to check nails & fur before placing rabbits!!

If a member of our national Holland club is known for or caught exhibiting behavior or practices to hurt, defame or lie about other breeders so that new exhibitors will be misled to purchase rabbits from them or to Deceive a judge into missing a known disqualification, then that breeder should NOT be allowed membership in our club & community. If course, in all cases, a proper investigation & procedure set by the club shoukd be followed to give any breeder a Chance to explain incase of an accident or musunderstanding as in any accusation

That said, Cheating to beat other open or youth breeders on the show so SHE/he can misrepresent themselves as “the better breeder” for PR & sales, and/or lying about/on pedigrees; or ANY other unethical behavior & deceptive practices to mislead & deceive new or existing exhibitors OR JUDGES needs to be disallowed by our club.

A strong stand should be taken against these cheating & misleading actions, esp if it can be proven or if such cheating or behavior is seen & disqualified on a show table. To protect the ethics of this hobby & our breed, these unethical behaviors should be met with zero tolerance and treated as such by the powers of our board Members.

We have heard problems like this and it’s now been seen & DQd on a show table at the FWSSR Specialty show by judge & confirmed by another judge before DQing the animal for a mismatched Nail being Sharpied black in order to cover a disqualification. This Open breeder mentors & seeks to mentor both youth&open holland exhibitors. This DQ was also accompanied by the suspicion of using the black sharpie to cover stray white hairs as well, also a DQ if seen as “too many” by a judge

This unethical behavior was done with the intent to deceive a judge by covering up known flaws (mismatched nail on solid black rabbit) that are recognized as Not Showable by our breed. While other breeders also have buns with Amazing type though born with a DQ are following the rules, others are cheating to win by not respecting the SOP. We have ALL been disappointed by “the best baby in the litter” having some quality that makes them unshowable. We cant cut the hair on a fuzzy, 2 solid black otters can make ALL torted otters😩🤯, the mismathed nail, or missing facial mark on a broken… (nope, cant color it in!!) you can use it in your breeding program but it can not Show!! Sucks for us all… but then there are some who think they are above the rules🧐

WHILE THIS was happening in Texas, I was present at PaSARBA in PA where a youth's mini Rex also was discovered & DQd for the same thing. This judge was SO MAD and said he had never seen anything like it in 31 years of judging. Kuddos to these judges for not missing this!! How many others are cheating and getting through??

While discussing these events, apparently there was also a parent SEEN in KS using a sharpie to cover stray white hairs at the show… like this is acceptable practice😵‍💫🤯. If we do not discipline these cheaters, they will continue. Either we should make these flaws allowable for all breeders or treat cheating as unacceptable and an example when proven so others will think twice before trying it. Its also my fear that new exhibitors will think it is normal and allowed esp when their mentors are doing these things. My kids certainly followed the examples set by their mentors.

If you agree that this is unethical and should not be allowed or accepted and you’d like this to be reviewed by our national club for possible disciplinary action for intentional cheating and deception then the President of our national club has asked to receive emails to her requesting such a review. Since these have now been seen other places by other breeds, maybe you can reach out to the board of your own breed if you suspect or have seen cheating

When I asked what we can do as members, Cindi Hinton, President of our Nat’l Holland lop Club said all info can be sent by email to her at [email protected]

******Please DO NOT post any names on here. The intent is not to be slanderous or start Drama but to protect the ethics of what we do. Please DO comment & share below any unethical things seen or heard of that is happening to cheat. ;(.

Maybe you are fairly new and saw others doing this or heard your mentor say it’s ok. Read any comments below & I hope this can help newer exhibitors learn what’s not acceptable within this awesome hobby.

Know Your Breeds- mid-size meat edition

Dutch

This first one tends to surprise a lot of people! Dutch can be solid animals on a small frame. As a marked breed, Dutch tend to throw quite a bit of mismarked and DQ marked kits, which makes it perfect for raw feeding dogs or feeding a small family. They're fairly inquisitive and even tempered from my personal experience.

These guys can hit 5.5 pounds as seniors. If you plan to use these for a medium sized meat animal, make sure to get from a breeder that has seniors topping out at, or close to, that 5.5 pound mark.

Due to some unfortunate circumstances, we will sadly not be able to attend any Rabbit shows for the remainder of the year. My show partner Roddy Camper, had multiple surgeries earlier this month, and it is taking longer to heal than previously expected. Health is a first priority here, and right now, travel is an unnecessary stressor.

If you need some light in your life, I open you to read some of Roddy Camper 's biblical messages to lift your spirit. https://www.facebook.com/roddy.camper?mibextid=ZbWKwL

Below are the show flyers that we originally planned to attend.
