We are all a family!! support local and help each other!!
WE LOVE OUR CUSTOMERS AND COMMUNITY!! FIRSTLY THANK YOU TO ALL NEW AND OLD CUSTOMERS WE SEE YOU!! The kindness has been so touching some had me holding in my tears of GRATITUDE!! HAPPY TEARS are the best form of healing ❤️🩹
The meme I posted with this random sharing and thoughts.. I really wish more of this happened supporting eachother more. It breaks my heart sometimes, because jealousy, envy, and competition can feel it so strong in the world today. Sure it’s normal and keeps you on your toes but helping others shouldn’t hurt you which in some cases it can if it’s the wrong ones! Lesson’s unfortunately get learned in hard ways when leading from the heart! 😞
So after few days serving customers chatting I was reflecting last night on conversations since Sunday and figured I could share alittle about my journey because it’s hard choices to make and restaurants are a ton of work!!! 😵💫open 7 days a week means I’m on call everyday so my mind and on guard is always fully alert!!! Remember this when in any restaurant not just mine if it’s small we gotta push harder to get our name out there and in positive ways!! ❤️
For 11 years, I owned and operated between two different restaurants. The Green Harp (Greenville) was my very first step into ownership. Then, after giving it to my daughters’ dad, I poured my heart into this one. ❤️In those 11 years, I worked at three other family owned and local restaurants including my old one the green harp to help him when he had no server just to help them out, cover my bills and Christmas as a single mom, and keep putting everything back into making this building better… and making sure my employees could earn more.
I’ve had several employees in my life since the Green Harp. Some have moved on, but a few are still here. Others are family to me in every way that matters. Blood isn’t always the only kind of family sometimes family can be complicated, dysfunctional, and messy. But life wouldn’t be the same if I hadn’t had them.
So 🤔 Small business owners… if we don’t stand by each other, who will?
I’ll say this: when you don’t show up for someone in a time of need, you don’t realize the impact it can make especially because small businesses are what keep little towns unique and special. We eat at family-owned restaurants locally. We shop at family-owned stores. We buy from the farmers market. We support local makers and companies weather get shirts done, local repair companies or landscapers in all of this we grow together. Work together towards bigger goals and a better community!
Meanwhile, rumors spread so easily often from people who lack clarity, compassion, or respect and when they whisper into “wise ears” normally they stop! Rumors don’t don’t just hurt the one business your upset with but ALL the people and other businesses the one supports it reaches everyone it supports: the gift card donations, the help a child gets with their first job, the community that relies on it and locals who gather and people that show up matter in that time.
Please do your local family owned business a favor and remember one thing we aren’t doing it to get rich we are doing it so that our country isn’t run by the same few groups who are doing things for selfishness to get rich off our personal health and pocket books!
❤️💯 If you’ve ever helped my place supported in any way if you came in, supported, referred someone, shared our posts, left a review, or even just offered kind words to a good looking food pic I see you. I appreciate you more than you know.I wish everyone nothing but the best and easy times happy healthy and someone to share a moment with who inspires you to look at the bright side those people deserve the world to become more like them! I had a few amazing days with customers sending well wishes and making me feel better about a situation that was out of my control but one I’ve never experienced before so it’s a learning experience and maybe I’ll be able to help someone else who goes thru something similar better!! 🥰 was an emotional couple weeks for me personally with family matters and business OUR CUSTOMERS ROCK THEY ARE REALLY THE BEST PART OF MY SUCCESS IN EVERYWAY POSSIBLE!!
I’ve had to get up when life knocked me down when something, or someone, or even stupid cancer tried to keep me down. But knowing where I want to be, forcing myself to put on a smile… and then being met with kindness refreshes my soul in a world that’s not always kind. 💪
Also social media is a place that can fill feeds with negativity, or you can fill it with helping people have better mindsets for a healthier outlook!! Before social media it was harder to get your biz names out there and so blessing or curse it’s about being wise to how you use it yourself….
I just want to remind you: you can go give your troubles to the trees, they need hugs too. They can help you find peace and ground yourself instead of inflicting others with your pains! please remember what it means to support someone while they’re still fighting to hold it together. ❤️
