Sorry for my absence. I woke up in the ICU.

My fall a week back fractured L1 vertebrae and while I was sleeping and thought healing from that fall my body was flooding my system to save it in reaction to my injury but because I'm diabetic when it flooded my body with sugar....boom ketoacidosis, DKA!

Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is a life-threatening diabetes complication that occurs when the body lacks enough insulin to use blood sugar for energy. Instead, it rapidly breaks down fat, producing acidic chemicals called ketones. This buildup makes the blood dangerously acidic and causes severe dehydration

I guess when my mister and sister got me in ambulance my sugar was 758 and my temp was 75.
They barely got me to hospital in time. I was unconscious for two days before they got me back. Spent 4 days in ICU.

I have zero memories for 3 days and its scary s**t! And found out the hard way that no plan was in place if I was the one that went down.
Make sure you have a emergency plan for when you are the emergency!

Over a week since my fall and I'm still essentially bed bound. 😔 I'm hurting so bad!

Welp my old ass dun took an almost cartoonic fall off my Bubba yesterday. All my fault...and I am FEELING It so bad! Omgeeerd I can barley get around. Probably should be at the ER...but you know me...ugg I'm hurting. 😢 😭 😢 side note Bubba did phenomenal through the entire incident. Desensitized at least to his Mama 😆
