Grow Wild with MDAR & Weston Nurseries!
FREE Pollinator Kits are BACK!
Friday, June 4 - Monday, June 7 (only while supplies last)
Growing Wild is a movement to help preserve and protect native pollinators in Massachusetts by enhancing our landscapes to benefit pollinators and the environment. To celebrate the second season of the campaign, the Massachusetts DCR and MDAR are distributing pollinator garden starter kits at all Weston Nurseries retail stores to help MA residents learn more about the vital role of pollinators in our ecosystem and how we can all be part of preserving and protecting our environment by planting our own native plant gardens.
We are excited to see what you do with your plants and your kit! Please post your pollinator garden pictures to social media and tag us! Use #westongardens #westonrewilding #GrowingWildMA. One lucky customer who posts on social media will win a $50 gift card.
Download the coupon and bring it with you to get your FREE pollinator kit from any of our three retail stores! There are a limited number of kits available in each store. Kits will be available only while supplies last.
See you soon!

Hudson wins national America's Main Street contest

The establishment of the Hudson Community Garden rehabilitated a piece of property that was once used for agricultural purposes, but was left as a fallow dumpsite for decades. It preserves open space, with purpose, by providing recreational opportunities for gardeners and allowing residents to get closer to nature while being active. It protects Hudson’s wetlands by ensuring only organic activities and reinvigorates Hudson’s historic agricultural past by cultivating a property near downtown that was once used for animal grazing. The entire property, which is 280 feet by 90 feet, is under the jurisdiction of the Conservation Commission and abuts a wetland, a homeowner, and the Portuguese Club. The Garden leases the land from the town for a nominal fee on an annual basis. Since its inception, the garden has been fully maintained by gardeners and volunteers. An oversight committee of gardeners manages financial and administrative tasks. The Garden is a short walk from downtown. Visitors can cross the stone bridge to Wood Park or take in the views of the Assabet River.
