As many of you know, Carlos and I have been wanting to sell for awhile now. After 15 years, Central Street Market has officially been sold. We signed the papers last night. It’s bittersweet for sure. I can’t even begin to THANK all of our loyal customers throughout these years. We survived the good, bad and the ugly. While many businesses suffered through the pandemic, we were discovered by many....We were fortunate enough to have grown immensely this past year. While it was great, it was also exhausting.
I’m a “people person” for sure, but working 7 days a week for what seems to be an eternity now, has taken its toll. I’ve been lighting the candle at both ends for a long time and it was close to burning out. Today I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I can’t even describe the feelings and emotions, yet a sense of relief all at the same time.
Being a small business is a tough and underrated job. The work just never ends. It was time to pass the torch! The new owners are young and motivated, and full of great ideas like when we first started. They plan to keep things the same but add new items and services. I hope you will give them a chance, feedback and continue to support your local small businesses. Wishing Erick, Nisha, DeLeon, Fabio and Josie the best of luck and lots of success!
Thank you all again for a great run. Cheers to 15 years, and now to new beginnings!🥂🍾
