We tapped our new Black IPA, appropriately named Up In Smoke, yesterday and it is being well rec. A perfect balance of dry dark chocolate and earthy, piney, floral hoppy goodness. Don’t be afraid to give it a try while supplies last. We will be closing early tonight at 7 pm so come get your craft beer fix before we lower the flag 🇺🇸. A big thank you to all of our friends and customers who supported us through this holiday weekend as we improvised our new side porch tap set up. We will be open in a limited capacity Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 9 pm pouring from our mobile taps on the side porch. Dr’s Island IPA, Seagull Session, Hoffy’s Golden and a 4th rotating tap. Prickly Pear Seltzer will be available as well. Big shoutout to Hull fire department who treated our little brewery with a careful and thoughtful touch, Hull electrical inspector for his ever-present availability, Hull Light for restoring power to the building so quickly and Rachel at Hull board of health for her empathy and support of small businesses in Hull. All of your efforts are greatly appreciated. We have truly felt the love from neighbors, friends and the entire community this week and it is heartwarming to live and work in a town filled with and surrounded by so much kindness and support. 🙏 See you on the Side Porch 🍻🇺🇸❤️🙌

After a day to process what happened, take a breath, get our bearings and map out a path forward we want to take a moment to say how grateful we are for the outpouring of love and support from our family, staff, friends, neighbors, customers and members of the community who have expressed their concern and offered a helping hand to get DIBC back on its feet. It appears that the source of the fire was a malfunction of the glycol chiller located in the basement and used to temperature control our fermenters. We all face adversity in one way or another. It’s what makes life dynamic, exciting, frustrating, challenging and real. Success is responding to the adversity with a positive attitude, improvising, course correcting, being patient and ultimately rolling up the sleeves and putting in the work. The sun will rise again tomorrow. It has always been the case, but the last few days have highlighted that this venture is way more than beer and pretzels. It’s about real human connection, building friendships and partnerships that endure. Thank you all for making that dream come true. We will be back at some point and can’t wait to share a pint with you. Boy, will that one taste good 🙏💪🙌🍻

Doctors Island will be closed for the time being following an electrical fire in our basement.

We are so grateful to Daddys Beach Club for calling 911 and to the Hull Fire Department for responding so quickly to keep the damage contained. Everyone is safe, and we are shifting our focus to deep cleaning and mapping out our plan to get back on our feet.

Thank you all for your incredible support. We’ll keep you updated on our progress and when we’ll be ready to reopen the doors!🍻🙏
