Super excited about today’s garden addition. In this partially constructed garden bed is planted: straight neck squash, green bush beans, beets, watermelon, cantaloupe, honey dew, okra, sweet corn and garbanzo beans. The inside keyhole is still missing as is the rest of the framing but at least the plants have homes.

A big shout out to our sweet girl Shiloh. She plays with and guards our kids, keeps me company, and is a lover and protector of our chickens. She gets so excited when I pull out the incubators and set eggs. She checks on them every day when I turn them, kisses each chick when it is born, checks on them in their brooder, and helps chase away predators for them outside. She’s not a live stock guardian because she spends too much time in the house, but she’s a fantastic help and we love her dearly.

Our Story

We are in the process of building a large organic edible ministry gardens. So far we have planted about 130 various fruit trees. In the future there will be a long pergola that traverses the gardens, lots of berries and grapes, along with beautiful flowers and medicinal herbs, all grown via permaculture, with each section of the gardens being dedicated to a characteristic of God. There will also eventually be a cafe for fellowship and a pool. The goal is to provide a place to for spiritual connection, healing, fellowship, refreshment, and peace.
