💛 BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT: ELEVEN LAKES BREWERY 💛
Today, I want to shine a little extra light on a business that has consistently opened its doors to small businesses, makers, artists, families, and community members: Eleven Lakes Brewery.
For us personally, Eleven Lakes has been a place that has welcomed Cassinelli’s Chocolates time and time again. They’ve given us a space to teach classes, share our chocolates, meet new customers, and be part of something bigger than our own small business. And we are far from the only small business they’ve supported.
They have created a space where people can gather, connect, support local, and simply enjoy being part of their community.
And given everything that has happened recently, I feel compelled to say this:
You can disagree with something without trying to destroy the people who disagree with you.
You can have personal religious convictions. You can choose not to participate in something. You can express your concerns. Those are freedoms we all have.
But there is a profound difference between disagreement and intentionally trying to harm a small business, its employees, and the people whose livelihoods depend on it because they don’t share your personal beliefs.
As Christians, I believe we should be especially careful about this.
Jesus didn’t teach us to love only the people we agree with. He taught us to love our neighbors, to love our enemies, to show mercy, and to treat others as we would want to be treated.
So today, I’m choosing to show some love to a business that has shown love to us.
Thank you, Eleven Lakes, for continuing to open your doors to small businesses and for being a place where community can happen. Thank you for supporting local makers like us. And thank you for creating a space where so many people have found connection, friendship, and belonging.
Small businesses need our support—not our destruction.
If you’ve ever attended an event at Eleven Lakes, grabbed a drink, supported a local vendor, or simply enjoyed their space, consider taking a moment today to let them know you appreciate what they bring to our community. 💛
