Food industry hard truths nobody talks about…

🍰 You can be busy one week and completely dead the next.
💰 Revenue doesn’t mean profit.
⏰ Being “open” doesn’t mean the work stops when the doors close.
🥵 You can work all day and still wonder if it was enough.
🧁 Not every item you make will sell.
❤️ You can love what you do and still feel completely exhausted by it.
📱 Social media can make everyone else’s business look easier than it really is.
🙃 Sometimes people see the price of a cupcake… but not the time, ingredients, bills, prep, packaging, and work behind it.

And the biggest truth?

Small food businesses aren’t just selling food. They’re trying to build something they believe in while hoping the community believes in it too.

So when you choose to shop small, you’re not just buying a treat. You’re helping keep someone’s dream going.

Sometimes I wish I could afford to hire people like I see other small businesses posting about. ❤️

But then I remind myself that Kskuppycakes is still growing, and right now, a lot of it is me. The baking, cleaning, planning, prepping, posting, dreaming, and everything in between.

And honestly? I’m proud of that.

I’m building this one step at a time, with what I have, and I’m learning something new every single day. Someday maybe there will be a whole team behind Kskuppycakes… but for now, I’m grateful I get to be the one doing the work and watching this little dream grow.

It may not look like everyone else’s journey, but it’s mine. And I’m pretty proud of how far we’ve come 💜
