I had the privilege of getting to make a last birthday cake for someone I know. Her mother has ALS so they wanted to make sure it was special. I felt incredibly honored that she asked me to make it for them and I tried my absolute best to make sure it was something that would capture her favorite things, and that it looked nice. She asked for a half sheet, chocolate cake with white buttercream icing. Her favorite colors are purple, pink, and blue, and she really likes flowers and hummingbirds as well. I hope she loves the cake ❤️

My daughter had a kuromi themed birthday party yesterday and asked me to make chocolate cupcakes for it so that’s exactly what I did. I made triple chocolate cupcakes with homemade buttercream frosting that I colored pink and purple to match the toppers I bought. Everybody loved them, I was very happy with how they turned out 🥰

I got the stand mixer I really wanted for my birthday and I was very excited to use it so I made a red velvet cake with chocolate chips just to practice making buttercream and having something to put it on.
I made a cream cheese buttercream and decided to add pink coloring to it just because. Forgive the less than neat frosting job, I’m still perfecting my cake decorating skills 😂

I made my first homemade carrot cake with browned butter cream cheese frosting and toasted pecans! It didn’t last to the next day 😂 I’m very proud of how it came out! Very moist and flavorful, everybody loved it 😊
