First Wednesday Car Meet

First Wednesday Car Meet First Wednesday Car Meet at Village of Providence. Held the first Wednesday of each month from April - October.

This event is in the spirit of the old Dairy Queen Cruise-In in Madison. If you loved that event, you'll love this one—same atmosphere, same vibe, same fun, and even more food choices. Please enter from the front on the ramp over the sidewalk in front of Mellow Mushroom AFTER 5 PM (please allow the staff time to set up for the event). We will have some signs posted and cones placed to help aid wit

h parking. Once the front lawn is full we will start parking on the rear lot. If that area fills up please find a parking spot around the grass. The goal of this meet is to provide a fun family friendly environment. ALL CARS ARE WELCOME and parking will be FIRST COME FIRST SERVE however we do reserve the right to save a few spots for select cars. Please don't leave trash, no burnouts, no speeding, no excessive revving, no loud music, or anything else that would disturb residents in the area. We are very fortunate to have such a great venue so lets keep it and make this year bigger and better then ever!!!!! Thanks again for everyone's continued support and thanks a ton to everyone that helps make this event a success.

We’ve been asked to help find a few cars for the Huntsville's American Eras Parade for July 4, 2026.

Cliff notes if you know someone that might be interested please share this with them. Also they are looking for American vehicles only.

The American Eras Parade is designed as "A Moving Storyline of American History", taking spectators on a chronological journey from the founding of our nation to the Future of America. Every vehicle, float, performer, and organization has been intentionally placed to help tell that story.

The vehicles in this parade serve two important purposes. First, they are storytelling anchors, helping define each era of American history. Second, they act as visual separators, creating natural transitions from one chapter of our nation's story to the next.
We're close, but we still need a few important pieces.

Here's what we're looking for:
1900–1929
2 period-appropriate automobiles

1930–1949
4 period-appropriate automobiles

1950–1969
3 convertibles (for featured singers performing from the back seats)
1–2 additional vehicles from the era

1970s
2 vehicles

1980s
3 vehicles
1 Convertible (for a featured singer performing from the back seat)
1990s

16 total vehicles
12 Hip Hop-themed vehicles
4 Country-themed pickup trucks

Late 2000s
4 beautifully wrapped or visually striking vehicles
6-8 C8 Corvettes (Especially if we can find a Z06, E-Ray, or Stingray - Z51)

Future of America (Electric Vehicles)
4 additional Teslas
1 Cybertruck
4 different model EVs (Rivian, Lucid, Mustangs, etc.)

The parade will take place in downtown Huntsville on July 4, with staging beginning at approximately 3:00 PM and step-off at 5:00 PM. The route is approximately one mile and will be televised live by WHNT and broadcast throughout multiple regional television markets.

Help us complete the story and celebrate 250 years of American history.

Please reply to this email if you have a vehicle that may fit one of these eras, or if you know someone we should contact.
Thank you for helping us bring America's story to life.
Sincerely,

Kent D. Ballard, Jr., M.Ed., CPRP

Got a friend in North Alabama that doesn’t follow the page and loves cars? If so share it with them! We are only a few followers away from 5,000.

Due to the amount of rain this morning and the looming storms later today, this months meet is officially cancelled. No one likes to see it, but that’s the South in May for you. See y’all next month. Well try for some better conditions.

We've been actively monitoring the weather for the last few days and unfortunately this months event will be canceled. With the high probability of severe storms most the day tomorrow day and evening this only makes sense.

We will move this months feature to August so if you didn't get a chance to finish up your project mother nature is giving you a second chance.

We look forward to seeing everyone in June!
