I’m Kennedy Appel born and raised in Huron, SD. Received my bachelors of education and human sciences from South Dakota State University. Head cheer coach for basketball sideline. Now I am a stay at home mom. I am very outgoing and love meeting new people. I enjoy event planning, singing and journaling, and most importantly being with my family. I am so excited to Barista on the weekends, I have always wanted to work in a coffee shop.

We were blessed to have such kind words. We look forward to sharing with others!

Huron has a new and unique place to grab a cup of coffee. Hopeful Grounds Coffee opened Monday, Oct. 5, in the former GiGi’s location at 349 Wisconsin Ave. SW, bringing house-crafted espresso blends and air-roasted coffee to town.

Hey everyone! 🤎 My name is Emma, and I’m so excited to be part of the Hopeful Grounds family! A little bit about me: I’m originally from Montana, and I love bodybuilding and spending time with my sweet cocker spaniel, Honey, who is basically my baby! 🐾 Outside of that, I love all things western and enjoy finding joy in the little things. I’m so excited to be part of a place that brings together great coffee, community, and faith. I can’t wait to get to know everyone and be part of what makes Hopeful Grounds so special! ☕✝️
