Fowl Fest Show Results!

What a fun weekend in Michigan at the Michigan Poultry Fanciers Fowl Fest show!

We’re excited to celebrate these results from the Green Card Show:
🏆 Champion Heavy Duck & Best of Breed — Pekin Old Hen
🥈 Reserve Heavy Duck & Reserve of Breed — Pekin Old Drake

We had a great time showing in Michigan and are so glad we made the trip for the International Waterfowl Breeders Association Eastern National! It was a fun show, a great experience, and a wonderful opportunity to showcase our Pekins.

This post means a lot. So, stay with me as it may get lengthy.

We attended the New Ulm Classic Poultry Show this past Saturday. This was our first double show and 1 day show that we've attended. It was fun to catch up with many show friends and meet new people. The poultry show community is something unique in the best way possible. Thank you for all the hard work with the show; it was fantastic!

What started out as a day with still wet ducks to blow drying them to fluff them, and hoping for the best turned into our best show yet! So, here are the results:

Show 1 - White Card Show
✨️ Reserve Champion Waterfowl, Reserve Champion Duck, and Champion Heavy Duck with Pekin Old Drake

Show 2 - Yellow Card Show
✨️ BEST IN SHOW, Champion Waterfowl, Champion Duck, Champion Heavy Duck with Pekin Young Drake
✨️ Reserve Champion Heavy Duck Pekin Old Hen

This show isn't one we will forget! And it only took us 15+ years to get a BEST IN SHOW banner!

Our county fair is less than a week away! Birds are sorted for show now, which is earlier than we normally do. That means a more chill weekend of washing now 🙌

This is our sorting set up -- we can view 20 birds at a time to compare for size. What does your set up look like?

I don't now who loves who more...

A little girlie who gets to play with her chickens or chickens who get spoiled with treats almost daily 💛
