We have one bearded wheat variety this year - Bentley! Bentley is a Graze - n - Grain seed wheat that boasts high yields for grain only and dual purpose operations.

Our Registered and Certified Bentley seed is making its way through the final inspection and testing process and will available for pickup beginning around August 1.

Thank you, Lord, for a safe harvest!

We put away OK Corral, Deliver and Bentley Seed this year with yields between 35-75 bushels to the acre. We also had some freeze damaged wheat that was just for commercial grain that made about 15 bushels to the acre, and we weren’t sure we were gonna even make that.

A big thanks is due to Koehn Seed Cleaning out of Isabella, OK who spent harvest with us and cleaned all of our seed straight out of the field! This saved a grain bin cleaning in July (which made all of us excited)!

A blessed harvest no doubt!

We finished cutting our beardless wheat varieties yesterday on some Registered Deliver seed. The sample was graded and came back with a little bit of a trade off. Test weights on the Deliver were at 63.7 and protein at 10.6. However, this little patch surprised us a bit and managed to pull in 75 bushel/acre yields!

Deliver is the Oklahoma Wheat Improvement Team's tried and true beardless variety and has been around several years. It's always a favorite with producers!

Our Deliver seed will go through final certifications and sample testing in the next few weeks and will be available for load out tentatively beginning July 15.

Closing out the first few days of harvest in Registered and Certified OK Corral Seed Wheat! We took a sample to be graded and results came back with 60 # test weights, 50 bushel/acre yields and 14% protein!

OK Corral is the new beardless variety released Fall 2019 by Oklahoma State’s Wheat Improvement Team and is sure to be a favorite for many years to come! This variety will be a good option for producers looking to graze, make wheat hay or carry all the way to grain production.

OK Corral Seed will go through final certifications and sample testing in the next few weeks and will be available for load out tentatively beginning July 15.

It was a beautiful morning in the sheep lots!

Every few years there comes a point where we have to trim down our flock and say goodbye to some of the older ladies and make room for new things. Today we sent our lambs to market, and sent some of our mamas away too. It’s sad to see them go, but exciting to know that new things will come in their place.

For the time being, our sheep dog may not know what to do with herself! She’s got a much lighter load!

Ag is Essential!

Though our world may slow down during this time, Agriculture can't stop! Farmers and ranchers continue to grow crops and raise livestock so that consumers across the globe continue to have access to the safe and affordable food supply that we have come to rely upon.

IF farmers and ranchers were to stop and simply "Stay Home" the grocery store shelves would be empty about the time life returns to normal. We must continue our daily work to ensure food for everyone! It's one thing for the store shelves to be empty as warehouses re-direct the food supply to grocery stores, it's another for there to be no food to redirect. Join us in supporting our farmers and ranchers - because !
