It’s been a little quiet here on social media lately… but definitely not because things have been quiet behind the scenes. Life has been busy, orders have kept me on my toes, and sometimes you just have to put the phone down and keep working.
Today, I finally wanted to share something very special to me-my beautiful daughter, Kaitlynn‘s graduation cookies, cake and one of the very first birthday cakes I made for her🥹
Kaitlynn has been one of my biggest inspirations to keep going with Sweet Pea’s Cakes and Cookies. She’s also one of my biggest helpers.. she even helped me create her own graduation cookies🍋 she is so talented❤️ I can still remember the little girl who took a bucket, wrote “Mom‘s Bakery” on it to collect coins in and said “someday you’re going to have a bakery Mom”. It’s those little moments that stay with you. And as I look at her now, I’m reminded of something so important. The little people in our lives are watching us. They see the hard days, they see when things don’t go as planned, they see us get tired, start over, keep working, and keep believing.
❤️I am so proud of the young woman Kaitlynn has become. She’s kind hearted, loves Jesus, has a genuine heart for helping others, and has so many wonderful things ahead of her. It’s hard watching our babies grow up. We wish we could slow it all down. But then we remember, that they were never meant to stay little. They have their own beautiful purpose, their own dreams and amazing things to do. So, we let them grow. We cheer them on. And we thank God for the privilege of watching them become who they were created to be.
Congratulations Kaitlynn! I couldn’t be more proud of you, my sweet girl. And yes..mom’s bakery is still going❤️🥹
