Convention volunteer needs:
Daily - introduce speakers reading from a prepared script. Hourly at the beginning of each session. Morning or afternoon shifts
Daily - hospitality room - welcome attendees for light breakfast or lunch. Restock foodstuff and clean up.
Saturday and Sunday - handle goats for judges training at hotel. Afternoon shifts.
Monday - handle goats for judges training at the Marion county fairgrounds. Morning or afternoon shifts.
Other ways to support - drop off a case of small water bottles or bag of local apples for the hospitality room.

IDGA members,

Here's the dates for the upcoming IDGA meetings.

November 7,2026 - business meeting at NAILE

December 6, 2026 - IDGYA banquet/Chrismas party

January 10, 2027 - milk test meeting with Elizabeth Straw from the Indiana State Dairy Association

February 7, 2027 - presenter (TBD)

March 7, 2027 - Dr. Kirt Schnipke's form and function presentation

April 4, 2027 - Youth Rep meeting

May 2, 2027 - short business meeting at the Heart of Indiana show

All meetings except for the November and May meetings will be held at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds. November will be held at NAILE in Louisville, KY, and the May meeting will be held at the Heart of Indiana show in Franklin, IN.

Start times for the January through April meetings will be doors opening at 1pm with pitch-in lunch at 1:30pm, and the meeting starting at 2pm. November and May will depend on how the show is progressing. December meeting will be an earlier start time.
