Athanasiou Olive Oil Co. is a family-owned, Northern California producer founded by George and Louanne Athanasiou in 2025. We specialize in small-batch, high-polyphenol, certified extra virgin olive oils, blending traditional Greek harvesting methods with California-grown olives.

Our olives are harvested in October while still green and naturally rich in polyphenols. This early harvest produces less oil but delivers vibrant flavor, aromatic complexity, and exceptional freshness.

As a micro-producer, we oversee every step, from harvest and milling to bottling, using olives grown in Amador and San Joaquin counties. We are proud members of the California Olive Oil Council (COOC), and every award-winning bottle reflects our commitment to quality, freshness, and small-batch excellence.

We had an amazing day and night of sharing our olive oils and balsamic vinegars with all the wonderful people who came out to support us and Artfully Rooted Sutter Creek last night! A great time was had by all with the lovely w**e, appetizers, live music and friends. Thank you for all the love. We tasted 3 of our olive oils, our Modena Reserve Balsamic and did a futures tasting of our new Meyer Lemon Balsamic being release next month. They were a hit! We are down to just a few cases of several of our olive oils so if you have a favorite, now is a great time to stock up!
