These little babies just hatched this past week. They are so freaking cute! I haven't had much time to post them yet. I now have 31 more eggs in the incubators. Pretty excited to see what hatches and what they look like. 30 silkies and 1 Serama. Super excited. Stay tuned

Bittersweet day here, the 20 chicks I hatched for someone went to their forever home today. They were adorable and fluffy. Will be posting photos and videos here in a bit. Been pretty busy around here lately.

So, was trying to find a coop for the porch for the older chicks to go into that have outgrown the brooder. Well couldn't find the right fit, so I saw a lot of people putting their chicks in small tents. Ventilation, space, waterproof floors, sold. Got one, out the pine pellet bedding in the bottom, fresh food, and water, out the older chicks in there, they are having the time of their lives. They aren't quite big enough to my liking to go outside to the rest of the flock just yet, BUT they can definitely stay in the tent in my livingroom. 😂😂 Yes I am aware that I am crazy. Switched the next batch of chicks to the bigger brooder bc they too needed a bit more space. Fresh bedding, fresh food and water, they too are enjoying their new found space. Thennnnn the tiny batch of babies, moved from the cage set up, to the next size up brooder. Fresh bedding, fresh water. Again, time of their life. From the sounds of it, I think they are all happy, I hope. Chirping away. Time to turn out the lights, except for their heat and take my b***y to bed. I'm pooped. I'm feeling accomplished. Pooped, but accomplished. Goodnight.

First is a mystery bird I was donated, she came in with California whites and most definitely is not that, so she came to live with me also, and my dark brahmas. I'm in love already.

These three adorable ladies are also new to the flock, my first ever Turkens. I never thought I would add these birds to my flock, but I couldn't help but notice how stinking cute they are. The two have what is called a "bowtie" I just learned this today, and the other I couldn't just put her back so she came home too.

Just an Idea, I'm thinking about naming these ladies after the Sanderson sisters on Hocus Pocus. Their head colors match the witches hair. Black-Mary, Blonde-Sarah and red- Winifred tell me that is not the cutest LOL photo for reference.

This little miss is also nameless right now, but she is a frizzle cochin and such as sweetheart.
