Remembering those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom today. Grandpa Steve is out and about piping with the Mackenzie Highlanders Pipes and Drums of Iowa on this beautiful day! Happy Memorial Day!

Another early morning loading cows to take to Story City Locker for processing. Giving thanks along the way for the nourishment they provide for us.
Looking forward to sharing some exciting news on another place you can find Moeckly Farms ® beef at later this summer - can’t wait to hear Whatcha think about it!

Got to capture a moment today of the guys moving a few of our replacement heifers from one of the cattle lots to the pasture by the big red barn. Love how excited they are to be out there frolicking around. Sitting on the deck watching them on a warm spring evening is just what the doctor ordered.
The bulls will be excited to be moved out that way here soon. 😉

Daddy daycare at the white barn. Ty fed the momma cows and they took off leaving him to watch their babes. 😊 Calving season has gone off without a hitch this year, so much so that I don’t even have one bottle fed calf to love on yet!

Tyler tried to be reasonable with this massive root ball by first trying to remove it with a tile snake. Then the backhoe, but it became too deep and muddy, so off to get the trackhoe it was. Linky (aka Linkbelt trackhoe) saves the day! Why is this video so grossly satisfying to see that out?!

Moving our large equipment and pulling overnight hours so we don’t clog up the busy Polk City roads during those busy evening hours!

Nick had an Independent Study class last semester. He took a picture of one of our business cards and put it on a CAD program. He then uploaded the file to a CNC machine in the new NP FFA shop. After reviewing the file and making a few adjustments, this was the final product.
This sign had been sitting in the shop over winter and I made mention- it was too nice to be hid in there and they should find somewhere to put it where others can see it.
My Mother’s Day gift was this framed sign. ❤️Crafted with love and great care from the three boys. We placed it in the driveway as a reminder that this place will always be their home, even when they might be miles away.

Happy 48th birthday to Tyler! The glue that keeps all the things together at the farm. The fixer of all things. The master of completing all my crazy to do lists without a complaint. Your resilience, grit, and humble heart are only a few of the amazing characteristics you hold. You have been my best friend 28 years and thee best role model I could ever ask for our three boys. Tyler- it’s a privilege each day I get to be by your side doing life. Thank you. We love you. BIG.
