Summer is coming ☀️😮💨
Reminder that I wanted to share for anyone that’s gotten a bun from me or has bunnies and keeps them outside or near windows😊
1). As it’s getting warmer and sunnier outside please make sure your rabbit has constant shade all day long as the sun shifts. A bun left in direct sunlight for longer than 3 min can cause them to over heat and die even in colder weather.
2). Make sure to keep constant airflow on your babies 🤍🤍 (if you need fan recommendations pm me!)
3). On the hotter days, go get some tiles from Home Depot, Lowe’s, or any other hardware store so they can lay on them and stay cool.
4). Freezing water for them and putting it outside each morning and frozen fruits can be the best way to help your baby stay cool. (please read my info packet on what fruits and veggies your baby can have).
5). As it gets warmer, bacteria can grow faster. Make sure we are keeping those cages as clean as possible so we don’t have infections 😅🤍
6). Breeding in the summer can be really hard on mamas. I recommend having a place indoors or a climate controlled area for her and babies. I personally don’t breed in the summer. I breed end of September-March because of it being so hard on them but many other people do, and as long as you have the space for it, it’s no issue.
