RANT INCOMING — Because I’ve had it up to here with the absolute bs the FDA has been pulling since 2023.

Small-time farmers and homesteaders are being choked out by red tape and greed all in the name of “safety.” You know what’s not safe? Losing a goat because I couldn’t get my hands on a $30 bottle of antibiotics without paying a vet hundreds just to look at her. That’s not safety that’s extortion.

Used to be we could walk into a feed store, grab the meds we knew our animals needed, and get them treated quick. Now? I gotta schedule an appointment, pay $100+ PER GOAT for a vet to walk in, nod, and say “yep, she’s sick,” and hand me a prescription for something I already knew she needed. Mind you thats not including tests or actual medication, 100$ bucks is just to walk a goat through the doors.

And don’t get me started on the meds themselves. If you can even FIND them, the prices have doubled or tripled. And you can just forget OTC options. Heaven forbid the people who actually know their animals be trusted to care for them without government interference.

This isn’t about health. It’s about control. It’s about money. And it’s killing the little guys, the small farms, the backyard herds, the people who are out here busting their asses to live honest and care for their animals right. Do we have any power to change it? Probably not. But you got me all wrong if anyone thinks I’m gonna sit here silent while they strangle small agriculture with their pens and policies.

I’ll scream it from the rooftops if I have to! THE FDA HAS DESTROYED SMALL FARMING. And for what? So Big Ag can keep getting bigger and the rest of us get priced out or regulated into extinction? I shouldn’t have to jump through flaming hoops just to get basic medication for my goat. It’s not right. It’s not fair to small farms. And this sure as hell ain’t what this country was built on.
