It’s been a busy week in the rabbitry and we’re just really thankful to share some updates today.

First, we are so proud of our girl, Saffron!

This sweet girl is officially a first-time mom, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. Saffron kindled a whopping 7 healthy-looking kits today and, even better, had every single one tucked safely inside the nest box with a beautiful amount of fur pulled for them.

And yesterday, Calla Lily welcomed her own first litter of 3 healthy kits! She also had all three babies safely in the nest box with plenty of fur pulled. Another first-time mama who seems to have gotten the memo!

Now we’re just waiting on Edelweiss, who is due any day now. Fingers crossed for another smooth kindling and a nest full of healthy little ones!

Three mamas, two successful kindlings, and hopefully one more litter on the way. It’s definitely baby season around here!

Saffron, Calla Lily, and Edelweiss are our mixed ladies that we brought home earlier this year simply for fun, so watching them become mamas has been such a fun adventure. For their first litters, we couldn’t have asked for a better start!

Now we’re just giving our girls plenty of peace and quiet while the new Mamas do their thing. Welcome to the world cuties!

Apparently these little New Zealand babies did not get the memo that they’re only 4 days old. 😂

They’re already determined to leave the nest box and start exploring, while Koda is probably wondering why her babies are in such a hurry to grow up.

Ma’am. Please keep your tiny escape artists in the nest. 😭🐰

POV: You’re almost 2 weeks old and being this adorable is exhausting. 💤🐰

This little one will officially be 2 weeks old on the 11th, and apparently all that growing, eating, and being ridiculously cute calls for a serious nap. 🤍

Our morning started with tiny noses and happy surprises!

We welcomed two new litters today, and we’re especially proud because both Sandy and Koda are first-time moms.

🤎 Sandy (Holland Lop) kindled 3 beautiful kits after being paired with Carmello.

🩶 Koda (M1PA) kindled 6 healthy kits after being bred to Otto (A2CO).

That brings us to 9 brand-new babies hopping into the world today! We’ll be keeping a close eye on everyone over the next few days to make sure both moms and all of the little ones continue to thrive.

We can’t wait to watch these tiny bundles grow, and we’ll be sharing updates as they begin to develop their colors and personalities. Welcome to the world, little ones!

🐰 Newest Baby Update! 🐰

Our newest little Holland Lop has officially hit the ONE WEEK OLD milestone! Born on July 28th, this tiny little bun is already growing, changing, and getting more adorable by the day.
At just one week old, those little ears and features are starting to really come in, and we can’t wait to watch this baby continue to grow into their own little personality.

One week down, and so many more milestones to come! ❤️

🐇 Somebunny hopped to their new home! 🏡

Remember Checkers? Well, he’s officially got a new name and a new chapter! Meet Benito Checkers — and just look at this handsome little man.

Life in his new home comes with some pretty serious perks… including a teddy of his very own. And honestly, we’re not sure who’s cuter.

There’s something so heartwarming about seeing our babies settled into their new homes, surrounded by love, attention, and an entire stuffed-animal entourage.

Little Benito is clearly living his best spoiled-bunny life, and we couldn’t be happier for him. Keep being your adorable self, Benito Checkers! We’re so happy to see you thriving in your new home.

🐇 Someone hopped to their new home and got a beautifully fitting name! 🏡

It’s my pleasure to formally introduce the newly named La Dame Blanche.

This sweet little lady has officially found her forever home, and we couldn’t be happier for her! She’s already settling in beautifully and apparently has decided that making friends with the household dog is part of her new job description.

There’s just something so special about watching a bun becoming a beloved family member in their new home. That’s always the goal here at Rustling Meadows Rabbitry — happy, healthy buns finding homes where they’ll be loved and spoiled.

Congratulations to La Dame Blanche on her new adventure! We can’t wait to see all the memories you make together.
