🌸 Program Highlight: Petals of Peace 🌸
At Moonlight Farms, healing begins with the simplest things—like a gentle walk through a sea of flowers.
Our next featured program, Petals of Peace, will be a breathtaking flower field designed not just for beauty, but for restoration. Guests will be able to wander at their own pace through rows of sunflowers, zinnias, marigolds, and seasonal blooms—picking stems for handmade bouquets or pressing petals into keepsakes that capture the memory of a peaceful moment forever.
But this isn’t just a place for people—it’s also a sanctuary for nature. Hummingbirds, butterflies, and honeybees will find refuge among the blossoms, pollinating nearby fruit trees and vegetable gardens and gifting us with fresh, organic honey. The sunflower seeds harvested from the field will become nutritious, natural treats for our livestock and wild birds, continuing the cycle of giving and growth.
Petals of Peace is more than just a flower field. It’s a space where serenity blooms, memories are gathered, and nature and healing work hand in hand.
🌻✨ Whether you're walking in quiet reflection or laughing with loved ones among the blossoms, this field invites you to feel hope again—one petal at a time.

🌾✨ Introducing ā€œFields of Foreverā€ — Where Hope Blooms and Memories Last ✨🌾
Today, I want to share a program that brings together everything Moonlight Farms is striving to become — a place of healing, hope, and meaningful connection. Our Fields of Forever program weaves together the magic of the Wish Pond, the peace of the Hope Garden, and the legacy of the Memory Garden to create a sanctuary for families walking through the most tender moments of life.
This program is especially for those facing terminal illness, anticipatory grief, or navigating loss — and for those still holding onto hope while preparing for the unknown. We believe that in the midst of life’s hardest chapters, beauty, connection, and memory-making still matter — and we’re building a farm experience that offers just that.
šŸ’› Program Highlights Include:
🌸 Peaceful walks through blooming gardens
šŸ“ Interactive animal moments for grounding and comfort
šŸ’ Personalized bouquet-making and flower drying stations
šŸŽØ Family handprint murals and memory fences
🪨 Wishing stones and custom pavers in the gardens
šŸ“ø Photography sessions in our flower fields and shaded paths
🌳 Tree or seed planting ceremonies — private or community-led
šŸŽ£ Pondside fishing and reflections by soft waterfalls
Every element of Fields of Forever is designed with love, intention, and a deep respect for the human experience. We aren’t just growing food — we’re growing healing spaces, legacy moments, and safe places to feel and remember.
Tomorrow, I’ll be highlighting our flower fields — and trust me, this is no ordinary garden. We’re planting a vision that will take your breath away šŸŒ¼šŸ’«
In the meantime, we invite you to follow our journey, share our posts, and if you're able, support or donate to our GoFundMe to help bring Fields of Forever to life.

🌳🌼 Project Highlight: The Memory Garden at Moonlight Farms 🌼🌳
Today, we want to share one of the most meaningful and deeply personal projects planned for Moonlight Farms—The Memory Garden.
Grief is a journey with no map. And while it never truly ends, we believe nature has a way of holding us gently as we walk through it. That’s what the Memory Garden is being created for: a peaceful sanctuary where love, loss, and healing can exist side by side.
Nestled beneath mature trees near a quiet body of water and just beyond the reach of our vibrant flower fields, the Memory Garden will offer a space for stillness and reflection—undisturbed, calm, and sacred. Visitors will be welcomed into a serene natural setting where handmade benches, hammocks, and swings provide cozy places to sit, reflect, or simply be present with your memories.
Softly whispering fountains and birdbaths will dot the garden, inviting birds and butterflies while adding a gentle, soothing soundtrack to every visit. In the heart of the space, a Circle of Life will be formed from fallen logs and reclaimed bricks—surrounding a young weeping willow, a tree long symbolizing grief, mourning, and resilience. As it grows, it will stand as a living tribute to the strength it takes to keep going, and the beauty that still grows from loss.
What makes this garden even more special is how personal it will be. Families will be invited to:
🌿 Create custom stone pavers in honor of a loved one
🌿 Plant a tree or flowering plant as a living tribute
šŸŽØ Paint or write messages on our Memory Fence, giving children and adults alike the freedom to express their hearts in color and creativity
🌸 Choose from hand-selected plants that thrive in Florida and bloom throughout the year—ensuring there’s always something beautiful to see, no matter the season
The Memory Garden isn’t a place to forget. It’s a place to remember with grace. A safe, judgment-free space to grieve, to reflect, and to reconnect with the idea that even in the hardest seasons of life, something beautiful can still grow.
For me personally, this garden is more than just a vision—it’s a reflection of my own journey. Farming and nature helped me understand the shape of grief and taught me how to find meaning in its presence. I truly believe this space will become a sacred part of the healing journey for so many of our guests—just as the land has been for me.
šŸ’› Whether you’ve experienced loss, are supporting someone who has, or simply believe in creating spaces where grief and growth can coexist—we invite you to follow along, share this post, and consider supporting the development of the Memory Garden.

Good morning, friends and family.
As many of you know, I’m Sasha Covey—the owner and heart behind Moonlight Farms. This is the long-awaited update on a dream I’ve carried for much of my life, and one I’ve been working hard to shape into reality over the past year.
🌿 The future of Moonlight Farms is no longer just about teaching—it’s about healing.
While there are many animal rescues and sanctuaries out there, what’s long been missing is a place where people come to recover—through hands-on connection with nature and the most fundamental rhythms of life. A place where healing is found in the dirt, the animals, the stillness, and the seasons.
When people learn how to truly care for animals—when they grow food with their own hands—their perspective shifts. They build connection, compassion, and self-worth. And when that happens, the world becomes a softer place.
But what about families facing unimaginable hardship—like childhood cancer, or a parent undergoing treatment? What about veterans carrying unseen wounds, or those living with trauma and grief?
🌻 Moonlight Farms is being built for them.
We’re creating a safe, welcoming space where families can heal together. Where they can:
Snuggle with animals,
Plant gardens,
Build memory spaces,
Take a breath.
šŸ’› We’re building:
A wishing pond,
A memory garden,
Flower fields for native pollinators and beauty therapy,
4-H style programs for hands-on growth,
And most importantly, free wellness experiences for those who need them most.
We don’t want this to be a one-time ā€œfeel-goodā€ moment. We want to build a sustainable, ongoing program that never asks a struggling family to pay for hope.
That’s why we’re creating a for-profit, working farm that sells quality food, goods, classes, and garden plots—so that the profits can fund all the free programs. From livestock education to fresh bread and pasta-making, we’ll teach real-life skills—because learning can heal, too.
We already have so much to offer:
šŸ– A full herd of breeding pigs
šŸ” A thriving, self-sustaining flock of laying hens
šŸ† Award-winning show birds we’ve bred for years
🧠 A decade of hands-on experience in animal husbandry and a life shaped by the healing power of farming
We also have:
A growing community of families waiting for this farm to open
Support from local hospital board members who see its therapeutic value
And a network of passionate teachers—from counselors to composting instructors—ready to contribute
Even the NIH has backed studies showing the power of animal-assisted therapy and nature-based healing. This program isn’t just a vision—it’s a proven, needed path forward.
🧔 So now, I’m asking for your help.
Please support our GoFundMe—whether that means giving what you can, sharing the link, or tagging someone who can make a big difference.
So many have said, ā€œSasha, your passion, your lived experience, and your grit can’t be hired. This is something only you could create.ā€ I don’t want riches. I want restoration. For families like mine. For people like me, before I found this life.
Help us grow Moonlight Farms into a place where people don’t just visit—they heal.
🪓 Like. Share. Tag someone who believes in community healing.
With love and gratitude,
Sasha Covey

What if your wish could grow, not sink? āœØšŸ’§šŸŒŸ
We’re so excited to share the first featured project of Moonlight Farms' healing vision: the Wish Pond šŸ’™
This isn’t your typical toss-a-coin-and-go kind of place. Nope—this is a hands-on, heart-full experience where families and guests can leave their wishes in a way that gives life, not just luck. šŸ’«
🌿 Imagine walking a peaceful path made of stones etched with the names of those who’ve made a wish, all handcrafted with our guests.
🌸 Picture cozy seating under a softly lit gazebo, nestled beside a calm pond with a waterfall, surrounded by nature’s soundtrack.
🐸 Frogs, turtles, fish, and pollinators will all call this pond home—thanks to a predator-safe, eco-friendly twist: wishing stones or aquarium gems instead of coins šŸ’ŽāœØ
Whether it’s hope for healing, peace for the grieving, or a quiet moment to breathe and reflect... the Wish Pond will be a space for exactly that.
🪷 A wish.
🪨 A stone.
🌱 A moment that lingers.
šŸ‘‡ Tell us—what would your wish be if you could toss it into the pond right now?
šŸ’¬ Drop your wish in the comments
🫶 Tag someone who could use a little healing
šŸ”„ Share to help us bring this dream to life!

šŸ“£ Today, we’re relaunching the page with the heart of why Moonlight Farms was created—and we’re inviting YOU to be part of something truly life-changing.

🌾 Behind the scenes, we’ve been building a bold new vision:
šŸ’š A Healing Farm—where people can come not just to learn about animals and agriculture, but to heal through it.
šŸ’¼ A for-profit working farm that will power FREE programs for families in crisis, veterans, those impacted by trauma, and others seeking connection, peace, and purpose.

We’ve got support building from our amazing community and even from local hospitals who believe in the power of nature, animals, and human connection.
