From our family to yours. Merry Christmas!

On side note to add a smile to your face this find morning. Our turkey Butter has been cooped up last couple days and this morning when I went into barn to feed him he choose violence. Jump kicking me square in the tender bites. Turkey 1, me 0. Merry Christmas and may your gifts be better than the one my turkey gave me. hahah

🐓 Kikiriki vs Azteca – What’s the Difference?

Kikiriki are true Mexican landrace bantams. They’re extremely small, very upright, hardy, and excellent foragers. Body type and colors can vary a lot, and they tend to be more flighty and wild-type.
Azteca are a modern-developed bantam inspired by Mexican landrace birds (often Kikiriki-type). They’re slightly larger, more uniform in appearance, generally calmer, and bred for consistency and exhibition potential.

👉 Quick summary:

Kikiriki = original, tiny, variable landrace
Azteca = refined, consistent, modern breed
Many birds are mislabeled, so knowing the difference matters—especially for breeding and preservation.
