Some of you have probably noticed that we haven't been open this week. This is an incredibly difficult post for me, and it is being made with a very heavy heart. I can't afford to keep the brewery open any more. I did my best, and tried as hard as I could, but it's time for me to close/try to sell Joe Beer.
I chased my dream, and I'll forever remember the moments where I got to witness people enjoying my beer. That feeling of pride from people telling me how much they enjoyed my beer will never go away.
I owe thanks to the city of Jacksonville for allowing me to chase my dream. I also owe thanks to every single person who came into Joe Beer. I wish I could thank every single one of you personally.
All of that being said, however, I do think Jacksonville deserves and is capable of sustaining a brewpub. I, unfortunately, do not have the resources to make it work. So, I'm not just closing the brewery. As I mentioned earlier, I am going to be attempting to sell the business.
It is a turnkey business that could be taken over with minimal effort. I am selling all of my recipes and detailed instructions on how to use my equipment to make said recipes with the business. Please pass this information on to anybody you think might be interested in purchasing Joe Beer.
Well, I guess that's it. Thanks for the good times everybody. I will be having a going out of business bash this Saturday. Even if I sell the business, and Joe Beer continues on (or whatever name they use, it will be continuing on without me.
I hope to see all of you this Saturday. All of my beers will be greatly discounted.
