Farmers Market week of Oct 18:
Nonnie’s final OUTDOOR market will be Wednesday 10/21 3-6 pm on Elm St, offering bolognese sauce, zucchini relish, pickle dilly’s and Grand Isle pasta. Starting Nov 4 from 3-5 pm Nonnie’s will be inside at the Peterborough Recreation building on Elm St offering two homemade soups by the quart, bolognese sauce and chutney, a savory and sweet butter and holiday treats packaged for gift giving or favors for the fall holidays. Stop by for samples!

Farmers Market week of Oct 11:
Nonnie’s Bolognese will be at the Candia Farmers Market and Craft Fair on Saturday October 17 from 9-1 pm. Of course bolognese sauce, pickle dilly’s, roasted corn and black bean salsa and zucchini relish will be available with samples of all! This will be the last Candia market of the season with so much fun, polka band and octoberfest foods as well as crafters! See you there!

Travel from Lago to Evora ( just east of Lisbon centrally) many km of olive groves, vineyards, rolling hills and cattle grazing flatlands to visit the Chapel of the Bones. Photos may seem morbid but the message from the monks is that life is short , fragile and temporary, perhaps a reflection that can give us all pause as we hurry along every day😳It was a respectful visit that I will honor. A bit of a rain shower as we reached our hotel , greeted by several sheep roadside, we enjoyed a bottle of this regions’ red w**e before dinner later as well as a walk about the old village. Adeus for now! I just love the Portuguese people❣️ Interesting fact: 70% Portuguese people live along the coast as inland is very dry and hot in Summer and quite cold in Winter.

A beautiful late summer day at the Candia Farmers market, thank you to everyone that came out!
I will be visiting Italy and Portugal for the next few weeks, so there will be no postings about market dates until the week of Oct 11.
I hope you all enjoy every minute of this beautiful fall weather until I see you again!

I wanted to post Nonnie’s market dates through October as follows:

Sept 9 Peterborough and Sept 12 Milford featuring sausage/lentil soup (a fan favorite) and bread and butter pickles along with the staple bolognese sauce, pickle dilly’s, zucchini relish, Grand Isle Pasta and roasted corn black bean salsa.

Sept 16 Peterborough

Sept 19 9-12 and Oct 17 Candia 9-1 (farmers and craft market)

Preorders welcome prior to each market date

Watch for indoor market dates for Peterborough and Milford starting in November. Homemade soups will be back!
