Not all rolling basket bars are built for the same conditions.

A lot of guys replace baskets with whatever matches OEM and never really think about what style actually fits their soil, rocks, residue, or the finish they’re trying to achieve.

Here’s the basic breakdown:

• Round Bar
Best all-around option. Strong against rocks because the bar has equal strength all the way around. Good packing action and solid durability.

• Flat Bar
More aggressive than round bar. Better for sizing tough clods and working residue, but not ideal in rocky conditions.

• Serrated Flat Bar (Hardox)
Most aggressive option. Excellent for breaking hard clay clods and sizing residue. Hardox steel gives excellent wear life in abrasive soils.

• Combo Round / Flat Bar
Combines the strength and rock handling of round bar with the aggressiveness and leveling ability of flat bar.

There’s no perfect basket for every farm.

A lot depends on:
• Rocks
• Soil type
• Residue levels
• Desired finish
• How aggressive you want the tool to work

A lot of farmers don’t realize how much changing basket style can affect the finish behind the machine until they actually run something different.

• Aggressive residue sizing and spread
• Built heavy for large-acre operations
• Field demos available

If you’ve been looking at vertical tillage tools, send me a DM.

Rolling Basket Replacements — Will-Rich Set Going Out

Another set of aftermarket Will-Rich baskets heading out.

If your baskets are:
• Bent
• Welded up
• Not leveling right

You’re not getting the finish you should.

These are built heavier than OEM and actually do the job:
• Better leveling
• More consistent finish
• Less plugging and patchwork repairs

Most guys try to squeeze another season out of worn baskets… then switch and wish they did it sooner.

We build baskets for most major brands:
• John Deere
• Case IH
• Salford
• Landoll
• Sunflower
• Will-Rich
(and others)

If you need replacements or want to upgrade your finish, reach out.

Fertilizer volatility is becoming one of the biggest risks in crop production right now.

It’s not just pricing — it’s unpredictability.

When inputs move this fast, it forces tough decisions:
reduce rates and risk yield, or increase spend and compress margins.

What we’re seeing in the field is that efficiency matters more than ever.

Growers who can improve nutrient availability, support uptake, and get more out of existing soil reserves are in a much better position to manage these swings.

Biological and enzyme-based programs are starting to play a bigger role alongside traditional fertility — not as a replacement, but as a way to make every dollar perform better.

The goal isn’t to use less for the sake of it.
The goal is to get a better return on what’s already being applied.

Curious how others are adjusting their fertility strategies going into this season.
