BREAKING NEWS!!! Donkeys are not the same as goats, sheep, cows, camels, or deer!!!
And their milk isn’t the same either. 😏
🫏 Donkey milk is the closest to human breast milk, but has a higher lysozyme content, is immune modulating, antibacterial, and anti-parasitic.* “high levels of antimicrobial peptides which confer it anti-inflammatory properties....DM consumption exerts anti-inflammatory properties in mice by restoring the endogenous levels of antimicrobial peptides which contribute in turn to reduce microbiota imbalance.”*
🐫 Camel milk has insulin like peptides and shows amazing results for type 1 diabetes.* “Clinical research on the use of camel milk by patients with type 1 diabetes has indicated that drinking camel milk daily decreases the blood glucose level and reduces insulin requirement by 30% .”*
🦌 Deer milk: the “high-protein content in deer milk compared to other sources of milk offers unique potential for generating higher amounts of protein hydrolysate upon digestion and an interesting high-buffering capacity that may have potential medicinal benefits.” *
🫎And the things I know about Milking Moose could get me de-platformed. 😱😆
And, their milk changes depending on the phase of lactation and the season. They literally make what their baby needs to survive.
It’s all pretty miraculous, if you think about it.
We tried cow, goat, and camel milk (and colostrum) before the Lord led us to donkey milk when our daughter got an autoimmune disease that attacked her brain.
We grew our herd of critically endangered American Mammoth Donkeys from 3 to 39 over the last 12 years. We have a waitlist for our available donkeys, and our mammoths go to amazing homes across the country.
We have families that come to Oklahoma (the only Donkey Dairy in the U.S.A.) for our donkey milk from as far as Canada.
We fought for our farm and for raw milk farmers across the state to now have the freedom to advertise ALL our raw milk and sell 1500 gallons a month.
For our efforts, we have literally been the butt of jokes on the house floor, and had multiple bills run targeting our farm.
And we have had faithful hero Senators stop, kneel, and pray for us to be victorious over our enemies. (And watched as the Lord gave the victory, for us, and for ALL raw milk farmers in our state.)
So, when I see someone lie about our milk and others protect that lie, potentially preventing someone from being willing to try something different than the norm that could, perhaps, help them too?
Darn Skippy I will defend our farm, our family, our donkey milk, our business, and our reputation.
And I won’t be ashamed of telling people the truth about what we do and why we do it.
Sincerely,
The Donkey Milk Lady
