This is where our animal feed comes from. An amazing farm run by an even more amazing family.
This pile of feed represents hundreds of animals, dozens of families, and one very long delivery day.
Most people never think about where animal feed comes from.
They buy a bag, load it in the truck, and head home.
But once a month, a tractor trailer makes the long trip from a family owned mill in Amish Pennsylvania to our little farm in North Florida carrying feed for dozens of families, homesteads, and farms across the region.
What started as ordering feed for our own animals has grown into a community of people who care deeply about what they feed their livestock. Many of you have become dear friends along the way.
The feed is freshly milled specifically for our orders, which means it arrives at peak freshness and nutrient density. We’ve seen firsthand the difference that makes in animal health and feed conversion.
We carry both soy-free and corn-and-soy-free options, and every batch is certified non gmo and we have done independant testing to ensure it’s glyphosate and hexane free.
Delivery day is never glamorous. It’s a long day of unloading pallets, moving thousands of pounds of feed, finding room to store it all, and solving whatever unexpected hiccup decides to show up.
But then pickup day comes.
People pull into the farm, kids jump out of trucks, conversations happen by the feed barn, and neighbors who might never have met otherwise become friends.
That’s when we’re reminded that this is about much more than feed.
It’s about supporting healthier animals, local food systems, and a community of people who refuse to settle for “good enough.”
And that’s always worth the work.
It’s not the easiest part of what we do, but every month we’re reminded why it’s worth it.
Good feed matters. Healthy animals matter. And building a community of people who care about both matters most of all.
To everyone who trusts us with your feed orders month after month—thank you. We’re grateful to be a small part of your farms, homesteads, and families.
