This was awesome! We never actually had enough hornworms to need to do this until now.. i always herd they glow with a black light, but never tried it until today! They were really easy to spot like this!

🐷✨ The very first thing I do after a litter of piglets is born is spray each umbilical cord with iodine.
Why? Because the umbilical cord is an open pathway into a newborn piglet's body. Spraying it with iodine helps disinfect the cord, reduces the risk of bacteria entering the bloodstream, encourages the cord to dry up and heal more quickly, and gives each piglet the healthiest possible start to life.
Those first few minutes after birth can make a big difference, and this simple step is one I never skip. ❤️🐖
