My Easter surprise- replaced all 4. Thanks Mike Wahl from Wahl-McAtee Tire for coming out at 4 on Easter Sunday! They brought the tire machine from the shop out to do the job.

Corn emerging through remnants of cover crops. The rye was planted in the fall of 2016, terminated after planting beans in the field in 2017. A year and a half later, it's going to help suppress weeds, conserve moisture, provide pathways for the corn roots to go deep and add to soil organic matter. It will continue to help reduce wind and water erosion and provide slow release of the nutrients it has sequestered.

2017 Tile Monitoring Report. This graph shows the nitrate concentration in the drainage tile coming out of the field relative to other participants across the state. There aren't many that show a lower concentration than Ausberger Farms!
