Rider of the week, McKenzie Stevens! This pair first came to the barn nervous and unsure of each other (baby horse, green rider). So proud of McKenzie for sticking with it and pushing herself to create this special bond that they now have. Future is looking bright!

Some big things have been happening here at the farm. 5 more stalls have been added! As they aren’t 100% done yet they are usable and the horses are loving them! Thanks for all the help especially my parents and my husband! Blood sweat and maybe a little tears of pain has gone into this barn!

Summerford’s Return To Neverland “Apollo” is learning the ropes in the hunter show ring with her amazing little rider Jocelynn and their amazing instructor Lulu. So proud of my baby pony and of course even more proud of Jocelynn’s determination, patience and amazing work ethic! Congrats to the amazing pair. Show number 5 and brought home all 1st and took home champion in all her divisions! 💕🐴

Miss Destiny has migrated to being turnout in her own little paddock outside of the barn during the days. She is slowly learning to trust and this will allow her to start to learn a turnout routine 💕 love her. Thank you Kaylie and Susan for trusting me with your little girl

A new pony and new horse have just come to the farm for training. The ponies name is Destiny and she is here to build trust with people and eventually will go under saddle. This little girl had a rough life for a long time but she is in great hands with her new owners. The horses name is Preacher and he is in for training to get more miles and eduction under saddle and in a bigger arena. Both are on very different levels but wishing the best for both of these horses. Thank to Vanessa and Susan for trusting me with their beautiful babies

Callie and Gypsy! First time over some jumps. Learning how to use herself and Callie did amazing riding her through it 💕 this little mare is going to be one heck of a jumper when she figures it out

So proud of this little filly (Rey) I have in for training. She is coming along beautifully. Next step is getting her used to saddle. This little girl has a sane but beautiful head on her and hopefully will do wonders on the track 💕

Yesterday’s lesson with Callie just filled my heart. Here is Kanati in his first lesson. Through all of his stubbornness he did amazing for his first true ring ride. From a wild untouchable Mustang to learning how to move forward on the trails to now learning his job in the ring. Oh the places you will go Kanati! Thank you so much Kent for helping me out with this little boy

Annie and Harriet are all tucked in for the snow and dropping temps. I think they are happy that I forgot to buy straw. Nice clean hay to bed down in and of course eat. The ducks could care less… they are loving the wet weather! Summerford stables will now be offering duck eggs. Please reach out if you would like some yummy duck eggs! Now on to the horses :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I took some time off this year to spend with family but as of tomorrow lessons will start back up as normal (weather permitting). Two new ponies in our barn. Welcome Nala and Bear. Both are here for training but completely different goals.

Nala is owned by McKenzie Stevens and is a 3 1/2 year old TB. She is going to be restarted with a solid foundation so she can enter the show ring. Nala will stay with us and show even after her training is done. Welcome to the family McKenzie and Nala!

Bear is a students family horse that is here to see what he is capable of. He needs to shed some weight but he has such a sweet disposition. Welcome to the family Bear!

So Mr. Apollo is on an adventure with some great people! He just got dropped off to be leased by a very special person to be her partner on the hunter show circuit! Mr. Carlo, this really isn’t a goodbye as I know we will see each other again. You were loved by so many, especially your momma, Megan.
