Katie was walking in the door behind me and suddenly SHRIEKED and yeeted herself inside and slammed the door. I, who had just walked in that very door with no shrieks or slams was quite confused.
So she showed me the source of her startled reactions.

It had been about face level to her, approximately 6 inches away when she saw it.

We try to help each of the kids find things they would enjoy that can also help them start bringing in money. They have some for piddly spending, but also put back to save for a vehicle and other big items as they get older.

When you’re an *ingredients* household.
Since I’m still nursing two little boys, I’m basically always hungry and being an ingredients household usually means snacking on a handful of pecans or grabbing an apple, or a personal favorite of mine, a cup of frozen peas.
But today I wasn’t feeling it and actually made a snack that was quite tasty.
I just threw in a skillet oats, coconut flakes, pumpkin seeds, pecans, almonds, a pat of butter and a glug of maple syrup. Then I just stirred it around on medium low heat for a bit, poured it on a plate and stuck it in the freezer for a few minutes to cool it down.
It was quite a hit!

It’s so nice to have big kids that can help with the meal load. Home made personal pizzas tonight, from our oldest daughter. 🥰🥰🥰🍕

This is the first time we’ve seen this creek run since we’ve lived here!
Based on how deep it is to walk through dry, it’s at least chest deep, if not over our heads in some spots!
