We do our best to practice AMP Grazing with our small "flerd". If you want more details, Carbon Cowboys has done an amazing job documenting graziers all around the world and what AMP Grazing does for them.

We have been practicing something called adaptive multipatic grazing, or .

Animals are left in one spot just long enough to eat all the good stuff, and trample the rest. We began this rotation on the property 64 days ago, and are coming full circle to start all over again. This breaks the parasite life cycle by moving the host away from any eggs that might have hatched in the meantime not to mention the fly pressure is a lot lower up there by the house :-)

The kids have been helping us with raising some non-GMO fed pastured turkeys!

They will be available the first week of August, professionally processed at Mekong meats.

We have three available! Message us for details.

I made a run to Southern and southwestern WI today to pick up 2 ewe lambs, a yearling ewe, and a 1yr old wether (castrated male).

The girls will hopefully be mothers next spring, and the wether will be a friend for Frank when we separate him later this summer to control when our lambs are born.

2 days was enough for these guys! On to the next paddock!

We got some new tenants in the sheep pasture last night!

The "Spice Girls" ( named after kitchen spices.... Not the British singing group) traveled up from about 45 minutes south to hang out for at least the summer. They will be a welcome addition to the mowing crew!

Thanks to Jeff and Angie at Oak Knoll Acres for loaning them to us! (Check them out for grass-fed beef, pastured eggs, and pork!)

It is so good to see hard work paid off. Extremely thankful for the blessing of friends with pasture to run animals on. Here's to a productive grazing year!

This has been a six to eight month project working mostly by myself, but we are at the finish line! Hoping to get the sheep and a few heifer companions out here in the next week or so. Excited to run these plasson water points inside my Timeless fence system!
