Hoping today is the day we finally get the planter out in the field. This will be the latest start I can remember since I started farming over 25 years ago. If we can avoid the small chance of rain tomorrow it looks like we can get a lot done. We will even start the drill with soybeans next week and plant both corn and soybeans at the same time so the crop should go in the ground quickly.

Been cutting trees out of pastures, office work and even shortened a pivot that new poles got in the way of.

Completely cleaned office today, one of them jobs I put off until I have nothing else I want/need to do, plus it is getting cold out and the warm house suits me just fine. Now I can more efficiently get ready for tax season.

Been working on projects we have not been able to do the last two years because it was so wet. The dry fall is good for more than harvest. Cleaning drainage ditches, low areas and filling washouts on hillsides have been in order this year.
