The US Marine Corps is exploring new technology for amphibious ops, which would allow for unmanned missions underwater. “Examples given include long-range, unmanned systems that can infiltrate an enemy’s weapon-engagement zone, manned-unmanned fleets..." according to Megan Eckstein of DefenseNews.com.

In 2011, the Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance (FBHA) was established to help provide behavioral and mental health services to firefighters and their families. The FBHA also started the process of collecting more information on how firefighters are affected by depression and PTSD.
