Annie the pony tried to end her career today 😅
Came out to see the fam and Onnika wanted a ride on Annie. Dog spooked her, Annika came off — hopped right back on like a champ. Then Dot the milk cow tried to charge us and Annie held it together. These two are becoming a real team 🐴🐕🐮

Update four or five?!?, teaching Ava to take the syringe and not just the pouch. Ava is already a pro at taking applesauce from a pouch, so now we're working on the next step, getting her comfortable with an actual syringe. Today we introduced the warmer syringe near her face to start desensitizing her to it. She let us know loud and clear that she was not a fan, but she did tolerate it being near her, which counts as a win in training terms. Since she already loves applesauce, we can use that to help her build a positive association with the syringe itself. Follow along for update five or six as we keep working with Ava on taking the syringe.

Just came home to grab hay for the herd and got distracted giving Taffy some much needed grooming and love. Meanwhile Ardi is standing by looking totally unbothered, because he already knows his girl comes first. Ten out of ten significant other behavior. Tag someone who needs a partner as chill as Ardi.

Every single road this morning had a train on it, I could not catch a break. Went out this morning just trying to get things done, and it felt like every direction I turned there was another train stopping me. Yesterday it was Billings, today it's just everywhere. I am so over trains. Tell me in the comments, do trains mess up your day this often too?

Three cows, three completely different treat moods, and it changes every single night. Artie the bull has fully committed to treats every day now, no debate there. But Taffy went from obsessed two nights ago to offended I even asked last night. And Kisses flipped the other way, ignoring them two nights ago then begging for them last night. I never know who's going to want what. Tell me in the comments, whose treat mood swings do you relate to most?

The pigs escaped... and Poppy decided she was in charge of the rescue mission. Just a normal day of walking the escaped pigs back home, except Poppy got a little too excited about her herding duties and turned it into a full blown fiasco. Somehow it's still the best part of my day. Tag someone who'd absolutely lose it trying to herd pigs with an overexcited dog, and follow along for the next farm chaos episode.

The verdict is in... and Artie's not complaining. Part three! Kisses gave her final answer on the treats last night, and it was a no. Lucky for us, Artie was more than happy to finish the job. Some things never change! Guess Kisses just isn't a treat girl! Follow for more taste tests and let us know who you think will love the next one.

Feeding treats one handed while filming, this was bound to get messy. Been so busy lately that Taffy, the mama of the herd, was starting to feel a little neglected, so tonight was all about her. Grabbed some Haystack Treats, alfalfa with a hint of raspberry, and let her and Arti have at it. Filming one handed meant my hand ended up in Arti's mouth more than once, but honestly, these chaotic little moments are exactly why I love this farm life. This is just part one, stay tuned tomorrow to see if Kisses and baby Rollo will brave the treats too.

Came home from riding Ava with burning hips, finally sat down on the porch to relax, and of course Poppy starts barking because Caramel and her pig crew decided the pen door was more of a suggestion. Never a boring day on this farm. Tag someone whose pets have zero respect for boundaries, and follow along for more of our rambunctious farm life.
