I've been absent for a while because this sweet little heifer calf made her appearance a week early. Getting into the swing of a milking routine while trying to train a first-calf heifer has been a bit demanding, but I think we're finally getting a handle on things. 🙌

I have to give a shout-out to LeAnne Hersey and share these beautiful Silverudd eggs I received from her. I've been looking for new lines to add, and I'm so thankful she had availability, as I missed out on this year's preorders.

LeAnne has been working with her lines for several years and has been selective in her breeding to ensure strong genetics that are free of immunity issues, while also retaining dark eyes and proper skin color. Her roosters have all been tested and are O/O homozygous. These eggs also weigh in at around 58–60 grams!

It's a milestone that represents just one small part of the love and care I put into my flock. Thank you for supporting our farm, cheering me on, and a special thank you to all those of you who have been kind enough to share your wisdom with me while I learn and grow. I appreciate each and every one of you!

I am beyond excited to be able to ship hatching eggs moving forward. So many have inquired, and it makes me sad every time I've had to turn someone away. That was a driving factor in taking the proper steps to become NPIP certified. Nothing brings me more joy than being able to share these beautiful eggs and birds with others. I love hearing back from happy customers and receiving updates about how much they love their new additions and the beautiful eggs they are laying.

I will be updating my shipping/hatching egg policies in the near future and would love input and advice from all of the more experienced breeders out there to help smooth the learning curve a bit. I would be grateful for any wisdom that any of you would be willing to share.

I hope you'll stay tuned for updates on availability for the remainder of the season, the exciting things I have planned for the 2027 season, and the breeds I'll be offering. 🫶
