While in Florence we were served a wonderful Florentine steak. I was unaware the Florence, and the steak were so popular until we were served one then we did some research.
Florence is deeply associated with the bistecca alla Fiorentina, a thick-cut, rare Tuscan steak that is the city’s most famous meat dish. While Florence has many restaurants serving steak, the city’s culinary identity is tied to this specific cut — a T‑bone or fillet steak from Chianina or Marche cattle, cut about 3–4 fingers thick, dry‑aged, and grilled rare over high heat, often with olive wood embers.
That being said we now have DiCapo Chainti with all steak dishes and you should too!

Great restaurant, wonderful food, family place. Those are always the best.

I can’t thank Mr T Tom Malaponte enough for putting DiCapo Chianti into his store on Englewood Rd. He is well established 40 years in business.
When I first called Tom to tell him about the DiCapo Chianti he immediately said bring a case. He didn’t ask the price or anything else. THATS THE WAY OLD SCHOOL ITALIANS USED TO BE. When a friend or another Italian would call to say they had started a new business the others would always help.

P.S. while there a Hispanic guy said what is that. After explaining he said I’ll take a bottle. Sold one the first 5 minutes in the store.
Leo’s pizza is right next door so grab a pizza and a bottle of DiCapo Chianti in the wicker basket and eat the way Italians eat.
