From the kitchen to their next chapter...
One of the greatest blessings of teaching Culinary Arts isn't just teaching recipes. It's watching young men grow into confident, capable adults and seeing them step into their futures.

This graduation season hits a little differently because some of these young men have been part of my journey since I first started teaching Culinary in 2021. I've watched them learn knife skills, burn a few things ๐Ÿ˜…, develop leadership skills, mentor younger students, and become amazing young men.

A special shoutout to:
๐Ÿˆ Kendarian for earning a football scholarship to Grambling State University. We are so proud of you and can't wait to see what you accomplish both on and off the field.

๐Ÿ“š Lonell for continuing his education at Lamar University. The future is bright!

๐Ÿ’ป Tyshon for taking a gap year to work and pursue technology certifications as he explores a career in tech. Success isn't one path, and I love seeing young people create a plan that works for them.

To all of my graduates: Never forget that there is a village cheering for you. Your journey doesn't end here. This is just the appetizer. The main course is still being prepared. ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Proud of all of my Culinary Arts students for their hard work this year. We cooked, learned, catered events, earned certifications, and most importantly, grew together.
Special shout out to our seniors Tyshon & Lonnel. I've watched these young men grow up, and I'm excited to see what comes next for them.

Shout out to my Culinary Boys for showing OUT during our Wing Challenge!
The flavors on deck were Chili Lime, Hot Honey, and Buffalo Garlic, and the competition got serious real quick.

Houston brunch spots can be very hit or miss these days, but Brunch & Bloom was absolutely worth the drive.

El Jeff and I went out to support Chef James a few weeks ago and the entire menu felt well thought out from start to finish. The biscuit alone deserves its own round of applause. The fried grit cake was flavorful, the chicken & waffles hit every time, the deviled eggs were good, and the mimosas were flowing properly.

And of course, the jerk lamb chops remain one of my favorite things Chef James makes. Every time. No notes.

I appreciate restaurants that create an actual experience instead of just relying on aesthetics, and this spot delivered both flavor and vibe.

Definitely adding this one to the โ€œworth leaving the house forโ€ list.

Our three Master Chef's in Training Keith, Malik, and Javier. They'll be taking their Master Chef Test soon. That will open the door for them to get their Texas food handling Certification!
