Hoping this will encourage you to just plant the seeds! There is nothing like enjoying beautiful colors in the garden🌺

From delicate blooms to future flowers. 🌿✨

Nigella may look dainty in the garden, but hidden inside those papery seed pods is next season’s magic. Today I traded petals for seeds, squeezing out tiny black treasures that will become armloads of blooms next year.

This is one of my favorite parts of flower farming—watching the cycle come full circle.

What a great day to harvest flowers! The rain held off long enough to get it done. Two subscription bouquets and a bucket of wholesale flowers going out tomorrow🙌

I couldn’t bear to toss all those blooms, so after the big cutback, it was time to sort through the harvest.
The spent blooms went straight to the compost pile, where they’ll help feed future flowers. The best stems got cleaned up, stripped of their lower leaves, and gathered into bundles.
Now they’re hanging to dry and waiting for their second life in future projects. ✨
One of my favorite things about growing flowers is finding beauty in every stage—from fresh blooms in the garden to dried flowers that can be enjoyed for months to come.
And even the scraps aren’t wasted. Back to the compost they go, completing the cycle God designed. 🌿

Our yarrow had officially taken over the walkway, flopping every direction and making it impossible to ignore any longer.
So today, it got the chop. ✂️
Not a gentle trim. Not a little cleanup. A full-on cutback.
The good news? Yarrow is tough, and this should encourage a fresh flush of blooms. Before it grows back, I’ll be adding support netting to help keep the next round standing tall instead of sprawling across the path.
And all those stems I cut? Don’t worry—they’re not going to waste.
Stay tuned to see what I do with them. 🌿✨

While making this reel, it reminded me that even when we feel like we’re drowning in the weeds of life, God provides moments of beauty if we just open our eyes.

There’s still so much work to be done in our little flower patch…but there’s also so much beauty to be thankful for.

Some volunteer celosia babies popped up right in the middle of our yarrow patch, and there was no way I could leave them behind. 💚
A little careful pulling, a freshly prepared bed, and now they have a place of their own to grow. It’s always amazing to see how a tiny seed can find its way and remind us that new life has a way of showing up where we least expect it.
Watching these little volunteers get a second chance feels like a small glimpse of God’s incredible design and provision. ✨🌸

Chaos patch update: I grabbed the tape measure today and found our tallest plant is almost 17 inches already.

Almost 6 weeks ago this was just seeds and soil… now it’s turning into something to get excited about.

Some spots are thriving, some are still figuring it out, but overall it’s wild seeing how fast things are taking off.

It never ceases amaze me how detailed and intentional God’s creation is — every inch of growth, every leaf, every stretch toward the sun. Truly in awe. 🌿

What part of creation has made you stop and just be in awe lately?
