Trying to beat the summer heat with cooling treats. Frozen blueberries, frozen peas, and a can of diced pears. Topped off with ice and electrolyte water. The birds are loving all the frozen snackies each day. Can’t wait for this part of the year to be over though 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Meet some of my newest farm additions, my Swedish Flower gang. I purchased them in April at 2 days old and have loved watching them grow. They’re a pretty uncommon breed and I’m one of the few in our area to have them. The girls should be laying next month and I can’t wait to hatch some babies from them!!! They also are nameless so if you have any ideas for my boy and his 4 girls let me know!! Maybe flower names??

After a lot of thought I’ve decided to break away from my Mottle Projects. Alfred and Dorothy are now looking for a new home. They must go together. I also have a black mottle split hen that I can include if you’d like. 💲9️⃣0️⃣ for this pair 💲1️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ if you’d like to add the extra hen. Both girls have been broody and are missing feathers accordingly but excellent incubators and mothers.

I have the most handsome cutie patootie Serama Cockerel. Hatched April 15th. Last photo is of his parents. Mom is mottled and frizzled. Dad is a Calico. This guy seems to have a little of both. He’s so serious and proud as he should be 😊😍. He will need to live with girls that do not have the frizzle gene as he is a carrier of that gene. We don’t want to make sad and painful frazzle chickens.
