A clydesdale showing at the Winnebago County 4-H Horse & Pony Project Horse Show! It is not very often that you see this or any draft breed for that matter at a horse show, but there were a couple clydesdales showing off the power of the draft horse.

Last week the Rock-N-Hill crew attended the annual National Clydesdale Sale in Illinois with our sweet boy Virgil, in hopes of finding his forever home! Although we were sad to see him go as he has become a barn favorite amongst the pleasure horse people, we are happy to say Virgil found his new home with Mountain Shadow Carriages in Colorado!

We wish the new owners all the best and are excited to watch him thrive!

It’s our least favorite time of year here in NE Wisconsin - the muddy season… 😑

But when the temperature is right, and we finally get to work horses in the outdoor, we will take full advantage of it!

Our sweet boy Virgil felt so at peace during his workout! Look how cute he is! 😍 This sweet boy is looking for his next adventure! He is a gentle giant who is broke to ride and drive! So keep us in mind if you are looking for your next all-around partner!

This massive woolly mammoth is off for a refresher with Amy Halverson for the 2026 Clydesdale Sale!

Rock-N-Hill Virgil is a 2021 Registered Clydesdale who is broke to ride and drive! Keep an eye on the sweet geldings progress!

The temperatures have been crazy here in NE Wisconsin between single digits and almost 50 degrees this friday!?
Luckily Virgil doesnt seem to mind the high velocity blow dryer! 😂

Celebrating 30 years, Kewaunee’s own Rock-N-Hill Clydesdales is marking a major milestone.

What began as a childhood dream in 1995 has grown into a world-class breeding and showing operation. Most recently, the farm brought home World Champion honors from the 2025 World Clydesdale Show, with the next generation of the LaCrosse family now taking the reins.
