The first Lumber “Tag Sale” in Middletown was a success, thanks to everyone who came by, helped out, purchased wood and spread the word!
I am planning to do another event like this in the Fall, as well as some sawmill demos and designated shop hours- any feedback is appreciated
For now, the shop will continue to be “by appointment”. There’s a nice selection of dimensional cherry right now and some other unique pieces, stakes and planing services. And of course taking custom lumber orders, lots of nice pine and oak logs in stock ready to mill to your needs!

Got your own logs that you’d like turned into usable lumber? I offer portable sawmill services but the logistics don’t always make sense for limited access properties or a small quantity of logs. I can pick up your logs with my truck and equipment or work with tree services to get the logs to my mill and deliver back a load of lumber.

Recently completed timber frame barn addition featuring custom milled Eastern white pine 4x8x18 rafters, 12x12 posts, 4x4x16 nailers and plenty of other long custom cuts off my Wood-Mizer mill and Measows edger to make it all happen.

Customer’s firewood storage built using rough sawn pine off the mill. I normally stock some common sizes of pine boards but they have been selling fast this time of year.
If you’re already thinking about firewood for next winter (which is a good idea) or for summer fire pits, I have totes of stove wood and hardwood and softwood 1/2 cord slab bundles available now

Here’s some photos of the latest addition to the shop inventory, featuring some 6/4” dimensional Black Walnut at 5”-9” widths at 8’ usable lengths. There’s some 6/4 highly figured live edge pieces and some larger 8/4 live edge. And some low priced odd cuts for small projects. Moisture readings 10-11%. Each piece priced individually starting at $6/bf with planing available. The last load went quick, I don’t see these being around too long!

My friends Ryan and Chelsea built and operate the Tasty Sugarhouse in Higganum, it has some really unique and innovative features for making maple syrup. Check out the interior, being done up with some thin cut pine sheathing boards and batten strips that I milled up. They sell maple syrup too(I believe they made over 60 gallons this year!) if you’re interested!

Great things take time. A customer shared his incredible work with one of these black walnut slabs. These were milled with my Alaskan chainsaw mill back in June of 2020. The logs were sent here by a friend who planted and removed the tree on his property. Thank you Anthony for sharing your work!
